Great atmosphere with tasty foot and friendly people! We love their burgers - both the beef and Cajun chicken, and the chips are great!

Cheery welcome from barman who served us drinks and pointed us to our table. It was next to an inglenook fireplace in a little room with a half wall and beams between it and the bar.... More

Ended up with a flat biketire at the Black Horse in lovely Great Durnford and the owner was so kind to let me place my tent in his backgarden. Spending three nights in a row eventually meeting some very nice people. Thanks bunches Paul & Susie!

Reserved a table for Easter Saturdy lunch because this pub is so popular. Once there we understood why it is so busy. I drank Shepards Neames Spitfire bitter, not my favourite, but this was so good I had a second. I was surprised to find Steak and Kidney Pudding on the menu, an all time favourite of mine, not served... More

Stopped in today for some lunch with family. Very friendly and welcoming. We had the Roast dinners which were lovely and reasonably priced and Triffle and Banana Split.. Plenty of parking and outside seating for the summer

We come here a lot. The food is always excellent, especially the chips and puddings. Really well cooked, reasonable price and generous portions. I will continue to visit for the quality of meals, and friendly staff. But if I could give a piece of constructive advice: please clean the loo more thoroughly! The ladies has had the same unpleasant 'splatters'... More
