Driving by at 12pm when we saw The Wheatsheaf. Really nice from the outside and even better inside. It quickly filled up and the menu looked great. I ordered a hommus, olive, pita and falafel board they called a 'Mezze' and my husband ordered a salmon steak, which when it came out, as a chef, he called a 'lazy cut',... More

Ate here Tuesday this week. Very busy which should be expected due to lovely weather however short staffed resulting in lengthy bar queues for ordering and paying and unfriendly staff. Queued to order then found things off the menu resulting in having to re queue again. Food when arrived looked unappetising -salmon on a bed of few roasted new potatoes... More

Hi Yvonne, We are terribly sorry about your recent experience here with us at the wheatsheaf. That Tuesday we had team that were unwell. Since this incident I have employed some more team members to help us get through the summer, and in turn help cut down that queuing time at the bar. We can only apologise for the poor... More

We went here on a lovely Sunday afternoon after a Skydive. We had a starter and main. Both were served very quickly and were lovely! The atmosphere and décor is lovely. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had a great time.

Met my 89yr old dad here. The beer was OK but they were out of the draft amber I wanted. Food was good but a little pricey and portions were not substantial.

Now imagine that classic pub really lively at 8pm on a wet Wednesday evening. Why so busy? Easy - just a great pub, totally authentic, welcoming and hospitable to foreigners like us from Australia, and great pub grub at sensible prices. We have eaten in so-called recommended restaurants and not had food this good but for three times the price.... More

My friend and I walked from Salisbury town centre to the Wheatsheaf, which takes approximately 1.5 - 2 hours along country roads. We had lunch and a bottle of house white wine for 24.99. This included the choice of any two mains on the menu not including steak. The rack of ribs and pork chop were equally good and the... More

Visited The Wheatsheaf recently with friends, what an amazing time we had. The food was quick, well cooked and tasty. The service was fantastic even though they were very busy, always smiling and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely tell my friends about this one and will be back again soon.
