I've been reading some of the other reviews about this pub and some are excellent and some not. We went on a sunny weekend in June 16 - we booked a table over the phone. The pub and location was superb. It was a very busy day with lots of couples and groups sitting out in the garden over the... More

First impressions when we arrived were great. A lovely, tranquil setting for a historic pub. A sunny day, a river at the bottom of the beer garden. Ducks waddling between the picnic tables. And from there it was all downhill. Let's start with the farcical queueing system. In spite of there being two members of staff at the bar there... More

This is to counter any awful reviews the Bridge might receive tonight .. 3 staff , 1 being the chef , Sam and Sky serving , clearing tables and serving behind the bar have done a sterling job . Why do arrogant customers take it out on the staff . Downright bullying !! Those customers can foxtrot Oscar because they... More

Four of us visited for lunch on Father's Day. We booked a table and as we were shown to our seats the first thing the waitress told us was we don't have any of the following available reeling off about 7 dishes a strange way to start especially as the menu was printed with Father's Day & we were the... We were staying locally last weekend and visited the pub twice. A very pretty place right on the water. The Owner/Manager was absolutely delightful - so friendly. Service was great and the food was extremely good. Light bites on the Saturday lunch time included a wonderful rarebit (cheese on toast) and the Sunday lunch was very plentiful and very good.... I had a roast beef lunch: the meat was nice, but the roast potatoes were nearly cold and although they had been roasted, it seemed they had been reheated, maybe in the microwave. The only thing I enjoyed was the Yorkshire pudding, the rest was not really very appetising. My plate had a chip at the edge and crack towards... More

The staff seemed a little preoccupied on nothing much. Service was slow. There was only one beer on (and one lager) the dray was due later that day....they said. No that it helps as you need to rack up the beer for a while. They don't let you run a tab...so one lunch for two with two sets of drinks... More

Had read a few mixed reviews on Trip Advisor, so was a little apprehensive when booking our table for 5 (plus dog) on Sunday. Was pleasantly impressed... lovely pub, great atmosphere, staff really friendly. And the Sunday roasts were all amazing - plenty of meat, interesting and varied mix of veggies... Plus the chef/owner personally came round to see if... More

This pub is set in one of the most beautiful spots in Wiltshire. We picked it up on route from our cycle ride from Bristol via Bradford upon Avon, Pewsey and on to Salisbury. Immediately met by Dean the landlord and his wonderful family. The food and beer were great. We had Deans burgers and which were unforgettable.

The pub has a very large garden right by the river Avon where you can watch the swans and sheeo etc, There's a nice large car park next to the garden so you should have no problem parking. The pub serves a good selection of food which I'll have to try on my next visit! There's a good selection of... More
