I live in Scotland, and Aagrah always impress me with the exquisite food and the welcoming customer service and particularly their mock tails and their lamb achaar which has the right spice and flavour to my taste. The staff were very welcoming as I entered the restaurant and got us a table within minutes though it was extremely busy. I... More

Went with friends for dinner. We find that manage to order a drink before being shown to our table despite the number of staff hanging around the bar area. We ordered our food just after 7.30 pm and at 9.15pm we were still waiting on our meals - only main courses. We did have a few poppadoms but never the... More

Visited with my family after a couple of previous visits with work colleagues where I would have given a 5 star rating for a la carte. We visited for the purpose of the buffet not having tried an Indian buffet beforehand. The starters were ok there were popodums raita etc and about half dozen other choices. We felt the choice... We ate there yesterday and were greeted by a young man with a lukewarm welcome. The service although quick, isn't really delivered with a smile - apart from one man who showed us to our seats. We know good food and we also know a good curry - and sadly all three dishes were bland and quite boring. I want... More

Been here a few times...and every time go away feeling it was just OK. The food is fresh...but just lacks flavour We all agreed in the party the food was very bland, and uninspiring. Perhaps some new chefs to put some depth of flavour in the dishes?

When you walk into the restaurant turn right and enter the waiting area there is small step where I nearly went flying. The step is covered in a black and yellow sticky tape which makes it an eye sore not becoming the décor of the restaurant, it would be better if they make the step into a ramp. As usual... More

We ordered a takeaway for 4 yesterday and collected it. Food was ready when we got there with no waiting around so we were expecting good things... We got home and then realised we were mistaken. The peshwari naan looked like a fruit and nut disaster. A thick bread with almonds pineapple sultanas and a bit of coconut glaze over... More

We went early on a Sunday evening and were quite surprised to see how busy it was. The popular choice was the buffet, but we went for something from the menu. Staff were attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Better than your average curry - hence the 4 stars. They also plated up our meal, as our eyes... More

My family and I visited this Indian restaurant and to our horror found the food terrible. The Rogan Josh contained a very high salt content bordering on in my opinion dangerous and a ridiculous amount of very hot chilli or pepper enough to make it inedible. The Tikka Masala was equally as bad. For this we paid £82 with drinks.... More

We are long-standing patrons of the Aagrah chain of restaurants, and whilst the food and service are generally of a high standard, the atmosphere isn't. We usually go to Garforth, which is well lit, well decorated, and always buzzing. Chapel Allerton is all together a darker restaurant, which is probably part of the problem. Can't fault the service, and the... More

Thank you for your review. We try to give all our branches their own distinct decor and we understand that different styles work well in certain restaurants but not in others. We have taken your comments on board and will look at possibly changing the decor when the restaurant is due to be refurbished. More
