12 of us went for an evening bottomless for our friends 19th birthday (6- pm-8pm) and the staff were so so lovely, such fast service, absolutely amazing food (compliments to the chef!). we got the trip of sliders, green skewers, chicken and waffles, avocado and toast and arrabiatta gnocchi and everyone was so satisfied with the food. drinks were so lovely and staff kept on top of making the drinks so you 100% get your moneys worth. we spent £25 each with a £10 deposit per person and booked a week in advance and the staff were so accommodating. music was banging n we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. extremely good budget friendly uni student night out!! thankyou so much for a lovely evening ☺️

We bought a Wowcher for cocktails and 4 tapas plates to share for 2 people. Food was great, service from Chloe was great, cocktails were great, nice bar, great setting. Everything was great…. But !!….. we are at 7.30pm.. Dj was set up in next room… music was vile and volume was absolutely ridiculous… staff couldn’t even hear what we were ordering. Cutlery was bouncing up and down on the table. Totally ruined what was otherwise a really nice evening and great value. I understand that it’s a music venue but why not keep the music at a normal venue till perhaps 9pm ish when people have mostly finished eating. Felt sorry for the staff… they will all have severe hearing problems if they work there for long. Shame really cos this could put so many people off eating here. Daftness !!

Hi Brian, Thank you for sharing your review based on your Groupon experience with us. I’m sorry that you felt the atmosphere let you down, with the music being too loud. Saturdays are a party at Canal Club and I would advise if you are after a quieter seating for a meal that you book in with us Sunday - Thursday.

Met my sister here for lunch. As she was arriving by train this is a great location being close to the south entrance of the train station. The welcome was friendly and the service excellent. We were using a Groupon and it was fantastic value. The food ( 6 small plates) was delicious and plentiful and the Pina colada went down a treat. I definitely recommend you find the deal on Groupon and give this place a try!

We arrived at our bottomless brunch took a while to get seated. Once seated they took our food and drink order we did not receive for 45 minutes. When our food arrived they brought one of our food out incorrect and when telling them this they just took the food away instead of asking what he ordered. They finally asked 20 mins later once the rest of us had finished food and brought this out they had to eat by themselves, we spoke to a waitress who agreed to extend our time for another 45 mins. We then got asked to move for an event but once moved we was ignored and we revived n none of the drinks we ordered. We asked see if we can have our drinks they brought them but didn’t taste the best so we just left

booked for the bottomless brunch, did not get seated for 20 minutes, first drink was 25 minutes after being seated, then every 20 minutes after that. food arrived after 1hr 15 minutes.. even though when booking it asks you to select what dish you would like. the food portion is also small. when trying to get a waiter’s attention, they would walk past you.

Really slow service. We booked bottomless brunch and the service was so slow that we constantly had to go ask for some one to bring drinks. In 90 mins we were served 4 times at the most. We constantly went to the bar to ask for drinks that never turned up. When we initially got there we waiting 25 mins for someone to take our first drinks order. Go to revolution instead

Really disappointed after reading good reviews. Bottomless brunch , The food was rubbish more than half the plate was full of salad I opted for the chicken goujons which were done in batter + hardly any chicken at all in them my friend got the chicken skewers and only got five small pieces of Chicken. We complained + was given a free shot Wow! The place was quite cold so had to keep coat on. Staff were very friendly but had to prompt them to get refill on drinks. Sadly won’t return here for brunch The main menu looks better.

I visited on bank holiday weekend with my sister for a bottomless brunch and we were left very disappointed. We arrived just before our 4:30pm booking and couldn’t find any staff so headed to the bar, we eventually found someone and were seated, the server said they would be right back for drinks. We waited for 25mins and finally the same server returned and took out food order and mentioned that the portions for what we had ordered were small so would we like some fries or something else with it, we agreed to some fries. The server left and said someone would be over with out drinks. Our food arrived after 5pm and still no drinks. The food really was appalling, tiny, tasteless and absolutely not worth the money. We did complain, but we were still charged over £80 for two of us and charged extra for the fries! We ended up having prosecco and nothing else. Definitely much better brunches available!!!

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the handling of our Christmas party booking at the Canal Club on Saturday 7th December 2024. I had reserved a sit-down meal for 38 colleagues, and what was intended to be a celebratory evening turned into a frustrating and deeply disappointing experience due to your team's gross mismanagement. Upon arrival at 6:45 PM, we were informed that our selected area had been double-booked and was occupied by another party. Initially, we were told there would be a 15-minute delay for our meal. However, as time wore on, it became increasingly evident that this was not the case. By 7:45 PM, I approached the Manager to inquire about the situation. His explanation—that the colleague who had handled our reservation had left the company the previous day—was not only irrelevant but also inadequate as an excuse for the evening’s failures. By this point, it was clear that the situation was beyond salvage, and I had no choice but to cancel the food order. This decision was not taken lightly, as it was evident that no preparations had been made to honour our booking. I have written to you twice and not even had an acknowledgement of my concern.

It was our first time at Canal Club, and we loved the setting as it's right on the canal it was too cold to sit out but the sun was shining and we had seat with a view. Connor the manager served us and explained the menu to us pointing out the various dishes which were good for sharing etc. Nothing was too much trouble for him he gave excellent service with a smile. The food was hot and as explained to us was plentiful we had the sliders with a portion of fries . Thanks we will be back.

We had a fab time here for my friends 30th birthday! Could not applaud the staff more, they were attentive and accommodating and kept us topped up with drinks on the bottomless drinks. The food was great for lining our stomachs for the drinks too and was served quickly. We enjoyed sitting outside besides the water in the sun and all the fab music and atmosphere inside. Absolutely loved the sax man espeically when he played saxobeat on request for me! Great venue and I will look forward to retuning again for another celebration.

We came as a group of about 8-9 people for lunch having looked at the enticing menu! Unfortunately, our experience peaked then. The service was very poor - we didn't get an explanation of the portion size so people accidentally underordered; dishes were forgotten about; drinks and food took a very long time to arrive. This was at the time that the place is empty - possibly one more table of four was there at the same time having food (arriving after us). Food itself is very uninspiring given the price point.

We had a brunch booked for 7pm for 5 girls for my friends birthday. When we got in there, there was no one at the door to see people in and to seat them down. There was a girl there that had already been waiting 10 minutes to been seen so I already had a feeling it wasn’t going to go down well. We then proceed to the bar as that’s where most the staff was, there was a group of girls there before us that had also booked a brunch for 7pm and had not been seen either. 15 minutes into our booking we still had not been seen so I called a lady over and she said she was just trying to find a table for us. I was thinking what finding a table? Why was this table not ready? Why were we having to go out of our way to get a staff member to notice us waiting 20 minutes at the bar. Half an hour passes we have now spoken to 3 different people who all told us one minute one minute we are sorting the table. We thought fair enough they will be sorting the table out. But before that they then seated a table of 12 down who had just walked in and not even said a word to us or looked in our direction knowing we spoken to 3 people. The 40 minute mark hits and we finally ask to speak to a manager who proceeded to tell us that it wasn’t our fault (well obviously we were customers who had paid a deposit and expected our table to be ready to celebrate my friends birthday). Was such a horrible way to start birthday celebrations. The manager stated to us that there was an event on that started at 9pm and it was packed so I had asked him can’t you asked the event people to move from the table if the table is not booked for them and we have actually BOOKED and PAID a deposit. He then said no he couldn’t do that and didn’t give us an explanation why. To say brunch is £37.95 is ridiculous. The way it went was a blessing in disguise as I know we wouldn’t have been getting served and probably only been able to get one drink if we had proceeded with our booking. We finally then asked for a refund as it was getting late and we had a booking after brunch. I have worked in plenty of places like this and as soon as I walked in I said this doesn’t look promising. If you have not got the staff you should not overbook the venue or at least prioritise the people that have booked and paid.

this place is amazing! I honestly couldn’t recommend more, the service we got was 5* from both staff members, they answered every question, as a 20 and 21 year old going to a bar something you get treat a bit differently but we was treated like humans and every need we had was answered to, they checked in multiple times, gave us information on cocktails and even recommended some! The food is also absolutely amazing, I could eat it again and again and there was no rush to eat it, they let you eat it at your own time even tho we ordered just before the kitchen shut. No ask was too big, I would recommend this place time and time again and can’t wait to visit here again when we visit Leeds. I didn’t manage to get the names of the people working (the evening of the 16/05/2024) but honestly they go above and beyond, they deserve a raise.

We booked for 3 birthdays. Bottomless brunch at £30ph for 90 mins. When we arrived and were seated spent 20 mins getting the pre ordered food ordered again before even taking a drinks order. 30 mins into the said bottomless drinks the first one was received. Food came minus breads, salads and extras on agreed menu also one meal missing and she was offered a different meal completely which arrived when we had finished. The accompaniments arrived 20 mins after plates were cleared from food. Requested these 3 times in this period and final time of asking as they were clearing the main dishes away were we sure we still wanted them as our mains have finished..... Then the bill arrives and its now 35 per head for a start. No reductions as to the missing items and delayed items. I recommended this place due to a fantastic experience I had received earlier in the year. What was received today was disorganised and ultimately a joke. Its a shame that your staff are so lovely but making feeble excuses for the business.

We pride ourselves on the customer service we provide and apologise that we didn’t meet your expectations on this visit, especially as you have mentioned you recommended the venue to your group after having a great experience the first time. We appreciate all constructive feedback provided by customers and we take it on board, continuous improvement and maintaining high standards is very important to us. Although on this occasion we have let you down, we do disagree with some of the comments you have made regarding your experience; 1) The groups pre-order was emailed to us, however on arrival some members of the group asked to change their order. Once dishes were brought out, certain members then wanted to revert back to their initial food choice which would have ultimately led to kitchen service delays. The reason why we take pre-orders is due to our kitchen size and not being able to take many food orders all at one time. 2) A genuine mistake was made on the price that the staff were due to charge your party (£34.95 per person) and we understand that this was frustrating.
