Went on a Sunday at 5pm so very quiet but the waiter was delightful, very welcoming, funny and charming. Not the best food but lovely service!

By far the worst curry I have ever tasted, Hardly any chicken in it and far to much undercooked onion (see pic) Service was the slowest I have ever come across. In there for over 2 hours with empty glasses. Asked 3 times if I could get the bill. I would never go here again even if it was free.... More

Thought main courses lacked flavour and spice. My Chicken Tikka Balti was bland and tasted of lemon. Two of my colleagues also felt the same, the ginger dish lacked ginger and the other dish was described as not very spicy even though meant to be medium spice.Very disappointing.

We visited for lunch so the restaurant was quiet. Chicken tikka was swimming in grease and the meat quality was poor. Good service and lovely ambiance but we will not return.

We visited MK as it looked like a high end Indian Restaurant, unfortunately far from it. Started well, but waited 30 minutes between starter and main course. Main courses were served cold and bland, certainly no fresh spices here..! Peshwari naan and rice are plain and tasteless. Finally the bill was, high end a pity everything else was NOT..!

What a shame as the food was good, but the shambles of the service on Saturday night, the state of the toilets etc let the whole experience down and will not be returning. Booked 6 people @ 7.15 pm on Saturday 19th Nov. Chaotic service or lack of it as it seemed to be run by a mad foreign woman... More

Was really hungry today so took the plunge and ordered lunchtime take away to be delivered to work. I ordered chingri varkee- allegedly made with mince and spiced potatoes,- where were the potatoes??!?! Not sure but they were not in the pepper! Next up was chicken tikka - another disappointment, it was wet, covered in onions (never seen that before!!)... More

I've been here many times before but my last visit prompted me to add a review. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is a step above, very authentic and not loaded with spice (unless you want it and they will oblige). Will be back, they also do takeaway which is very... More

I went here with my fiancée as I'd bought a voucher from groupon. The service was fantastic from the minute we walked in. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic. The pickle tray was delicious and the reshmi kebab was a delight. My fiancée got the chicken malayan, which she said was quite mild (which was... More

Description
Situated on the rather swish York Place, close to Leeds mainline railway station, Miah’s Place is an Indian restaurant with a wow factor. Right from the outset you really know that you’re in for something special – the restaurant is set within one of the old red brick buildings, behind wrought iron low fencing, its subtle signage indicating that Miah’s Kitchen, a small scale chain making waves throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, is perhaps a little more special than your average Indian eatery. Through the portico-ed front door you’ll enter a stylish dining room furnished in an unusual Art Deco inspired style, with ball topped lamps, sensuous lines and low slung leather seating, all in low key tones. Miah’s Kitchen offers an extensive menu of old Indian favourites, ranging from tandoori dishes to biryanis and baltis as well as a good collection of specialties created especially for the restaurant, using contemporary and traditional techniques. Surprisingly affordable, Miah’s Kitchen provides an upmarket take on Indian dining without the price tag.
