We met another couple here for a meal one evening on their choice so I didn't know what to expect. Fairuz is in a little bit of a sorry state, desperately needing some TLC. It's very quirky and I don't think you would find another place like it in Leeds. My food was OK but others said it was excellent... More

For the third time I've eaten here. In a very unassuming location it is I think one of a kind in here in Leeds. I've taken friends each time and they've enjoyed it. It's nice for something different to the usual choices in Leeds. The front of house is as far as I can tell, also the chef and waiter... More

After working very close to this restaurant for many years I finally ate here tonight with friends and we all really enjoyed it. It's hidden away on the corner of Wade Lane and doesn't look particularly inviting (it could do with the windows being washed and there's some odd, old curtains up that look a bit out of place) but... First Lebanese I've found that's actually authentic. Absolutely amazing food. No frills, but really doesn't need it!

My friends and I visited on a very hot day in July. The restaurant was quiet, but mainly because it was so hot out! The exterior is a bit run down but don't let it put you off - the food was excellent. For starters we shared a variety of dips, which were all really fresh and delicious. My vegetarian... More

An off putting entrance and a very old review on the restaurant's sign was a warning, but our hosts insisted the food was excellent. Sadly it was not.

Don't let the outside fool you! It has fantastic Lebanese food. On arrival we didn't really know what to order, but the owner came directly over to us and suggested this sharing platter. At first we were a little worried because it seemed to be orientated around meat and we were vegetarians, but he said that that was absolutely no... More

Although the restaurant doesn't look brilliant from outside our party of 12 enjoyed a lovely set meal. Plenty of mezze with ample vegeterian choice followed by meatballs, chicken and rice, couscous with chickpeas and sausage. We all enjoyed sampling the different dishes offered. Many dishes were new to our party but were enjoyed by all.

We came for iftar today, was amazing food and the owner was such a lovely man and even gave us complimentary dates from Medina to break our fast. Probably best middle eastern food in Leeds, recommend to all.

Just as the title says, the food tasted home cooked - simple and delicious. The waiters were very welcoming and because of this, I do agree with others saying it is a hidden gem. I would recommend the visit. The only reason why I have rated 3 is due to the the smell of dust. I'm a very funny person... More
