We went to the restaurant today, and had something for lunch myself, and my husband had the Stilton & broccoli soup which was like dish water the worst soup I have ever had in my life. I did tell the staff we were unhappy with...More

Friendly service /decent coffee / lovely enclosed garden. Recommended for a rest and tea/coffee stopover. We did not eat here as we were late afternoon arrivals but will try it out next visit.

The earl grey and black current cake is both unusual and delicious. The Americano coffee was pleasant as well.

Set in the covered cloisters surrounding one side of Chichester cathedral, and next to the Cathedral shop. Plenty of hot and cold food choices and teas, coffees, soft drinks. All good standard fare. Always busy but plenty of tables inside and nice to sit in...More

We enjoyed a cup of tea and a slice of cake in the lovely garden of Cloisters. It's a bit of an Oasis in the city, being able to sit in a lovely pretty garden like this one on a sunny afternoon. I've never been...More

We just wanted a coffee and cake - a very warm day so the iced coffee was welcome. My husband had chocolate cake and I a wonderfully fresh fruit scone. Excellent.

Cloisters Cafe prides itself on fair trade suppliers and freshly cooked food, featuring dishes such as smoked haddock with a gruyere and tomato gratin, supreme of chicken in a mushroom and tarragon sauce and roasted sweet potato with a bean ragu. Old favourites also appear on the menu along with baked potatoes and a range of hot and cold sandwiches. There is a roast on Sundays when bookings can be made in advance. Cloisters also has a beautiful walled garden and the stunning Cathedral spire can be seen through its glazed roof. Next to our cafe is the Cloisters Shop, offering a range of unique and gorgeous gifts and accessories, souvenirs and religious items. A perfect way to round off a visit to the Cathedral, or just to find that special present.
