Staff were very friendly and informative, there are a lot of choices on the menu and when we got our food it was very good. Very inexpensive place to eat, good carvery would definitely recommend.

We went here for the Sunday carvery, arrived about 4.30 and it was so busy - pandemonium with screaming uncontrolled kids rampaging around the place - very off putting. We waited for 25 minutes for a table to be available, and then had to queue at the carvery counter for 15 minutes as so many others waiting to be served.... More

The Carvery has a good selection of meats, including a half roast chicken, and battered cod. The selection of vegetables is reasonable and includes Chips and mushy peas which means you can have a roast dinner, chicken and chips or fish and chips. The choice is yours. Drinks are also very reasonably priced as are the sweets. Well worth a visit

Awfull would be a complement for the dirt they serve as food here. The carverys are rank but at least you can get fed within a 30 minute wait, if you like dry tasteless 'food'. If you brave enough to go of piste and order something crazy like a burger or pizza, allow for at least 45mins. At least it's... More

had the nachos to start, didnt like them but only because i prefer proper cheese on my nachos, not cheese sauce. for mains we had the lentil cottage pie, which my daughter loved and i had the spicy burger, also very tasty. the place was clean and homely, and the staff were friendly. will definitely go back again.

We sometimes go here for breakfast and carvery. We do usually really like the carvery nice meats available, hot, tasty veg. However the breakfast is just, ok. Eggs hard, chef stomped out, slammed down tomatoes. We asked a lady for more behind the serving counter as there was none left in the pot, she huffed and puffed and loudly shouted... More

We went to the Walsgrave for a crown green bowls competition and I have nothing but praise for the place. Bernie and all her staff where fantastic, polite, courteous and professional. Whilst there we had the carvery and this was delicious and great value for money. The pub has a clean and relaxed environment which makes you feel very welcome.... More
