During what has been a terrible year one of our best memories was dining at Adam`s restaurant. The food was spectacular and we had just a most special evening. Cosseted by lovely staff in a busy and exciting atmosphere. Seems like a life time ago....Not sure when the hospitality industry will open again but hopefully soon.More
Two visits here in 2020 one just before lock-down in March and again in the short Autumn window before Birmingham went tier 3. Both occasions they maintained their usual high standards. Innovative, tasty and perfectly cooked food supported by a professional but friendly service. Adams...is just a very comfortable and classy place to be. My partner is in the NHS so was just great to get out and spoil her for a belated milestone anniversary. Look forward to returning once this nightmare is all over.More
What can I say? From when we stepped in to Adam’s we had an amazing time. All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on everything on the menu. The food was outstanding. Well worth the trip into Birmingham.
We visited in late September and had the dinner tasting menu with the eel course. The food was very nice but not particularly memorable. The best dishes were the eel course, the bread and butter and the amuse-bouche. The dessert was fantastic but I couldn't...finish it due to being too full. The service was great and I appreciated the Covid precautions. This restaurant could do with an update in regards to interior decoration since it feels a bit dated.More
All covid precautions in place. Superb service as always. Went for the tasting menu after all who knows when we will be able to eat out again. As usual we were treated to a lovely line up of pre dinner tasters. All just inspired Chose...the wine flight to accompany the seven course tasting menu. Which was well explained by the sommelier. Each disc was made up of complimentary flavours with significant complexity. The amount of work that must of gone into each must be massive. We started with a terrific Scallop dish which had a lime element to it. This was followed by maitake mushrooms with a parmesan twist. Next we had Cornish Turbot accompanied by an elegant glass of Meursault. This was followed by a Jerusalem Artichoke dish which was yet another splendid course. The sort of main course was fallow venison. Like all it was presented beautifully and was perfectly cooked. There was a pineapple dish to ease us into the desert which was a gorgeous green apple millefeuille. All in all and despite the current restrictions this was fine dining at its best and Adams remains our favourite fine dining restaurant.More
Had been a while since the last visit. Was very lucky to get a reservation after plans were changed . So pleased with every aspect of the meal.
Each course was fantastic, my favourite was the veal sweetbreads however it was hard to pick a...stand out as all were of excellent quality.
The service was attentive and swift. The atmosphere was buzzy as it was a Saturday and the last before the impending lockdown announced that evening.
The Covid 19 measures were solid, would of preferred a paper menu.
Can't wait to be able to visit again.More
This surpassed our expectations.
Holding a Michelin star of course made us think it would be good but this was excellent.
We were lucky to be able to park on the street immediately outside the restaurant.
On entering we opted to go straight to our...table which was well spaced from others, as were all the tables in the restaurant. All necessary Covid measures were in place - hand sanitiser/well spaced tables/staff wearing clear visors/menus available via phone rather than card ones ( although I think they were available to have and then take away if visitors didn't have the technology to access the menus by their phones.
We chose from the set lunch menu and the food was wonderful. I chose mackerel for my starter which was delicious and came with an exceptional accompaniment-so fresh and delicious. The main course of pork was also very good and the fig dessert was divine with wonderful textures and flavours.
The amuse and other little extras were also really tasty.
All in all, a lovely lunch.
Thank you and we will be back.More

Very expensive - for us, it would have to be very special occasions only! The taster menu, of course, doesn't include wine or other drinks. But it is absolutely sensational! And they are very aware of diners' food intolerances. For example, my husband is allergic to mango and when they brought the first set of "amuse bouches" which had mango in it, they brought my husband something else, without mango.
