The place was spotless and felt incredibly safe with all the measures in place. Staff members went above and beyond to make our experience better (28/10/2020, thanks to Amy Ewan and Maria but especially Anya !) The food was fabulous and served very quickly, we...sat outside and the heaters were brilliant. Was checked on at least four times over a couple of hours, payment was quick and painless contactless, Huge TV displays also! Everything well signposted and staff on hand for any queries. One of the best experiences I've had out recently, thank you to the team for making it special !More

As we know all pubs shut at 10pm due to covid-19. Popped in there at 9.00pm and they're calling last orders at the Bar. Was told to go and find a table and someone will take our order. As we weren't students or below the...age of 25 we didn't get served till 9.30pm. Drinks finally came at 9.40pm and by 9.50pm they came round issuing plastic glasses as they wont you out.More

I come here regularly for drinks with my friends and always have an amazing time. The atmosphere is always wicked and a very chilled vibe. Special thanks to Lily who was amazing on Saturday (17-10) helped me also with the charging packs which I had...trouble with, who was very quick in getting my drinks and was just absolutely lovely! See you all again soon xxMore

menu is just a small selection of burger & chips which comes a la macdonalds style (wrapped in paper, in a bag), pricy - £9 for burger - and not alot for your money. Food was OK. Nothing to rave about. Table service for drinks...hit & miss Covid - had to sign in, wear mask (thats where covid rules seemed to end thereafter). Were taken through pub, through an outside covered area full of smokers - great - across beer garden & into a dimly lit marquee. Clearly a party going on amongst 5/6 tables, no masks, no social distancing with each other or to adjacent tables not part of the party, wandering about table to table, hugging each other, shouting & singing across to each other, kids all over (came across to our table), dogs running round. Folk generally wandering round. Not single use menus. Couldnt see any sanitising or sanitising station in the area.More

A review has two sides.... Positives: Pretty well organised in COVID measures, had to scan, was explained the rules, seated etc. Tables pretty well spaced, staff were friendly. Not so positives: Senior staff directing the traffic obviously didn't like his nose covered or his mask...didn't fit. Staff drinking shots behind the bar, the odd glass fell (it was 1pm) Supervisor corrected staff in front of patron (No. No. No) £8 for two pints..... really.... you beamed to London for a price check? The place was full of students, so thats the market, but that doesn't mean staff and service should be like them.More

Visited with a few friends over the weekend. Firstly the positives- the staff were all lovely, service was quick and efficient (no easy task with the table service at the moment, so fair play), the drinks were all quality, and the food from OPM is...worth a visit alone. There is a fair bit of room for improvement, however. Firstly, we were sat outside- no issue here, however most of the outside areas were heated. Not ours though, and it was pretty chilly. Secondly, we were seated and told some drinks menus were coming. Another member of staff came to see if we wanted to order- we said that the first chap had gone to get menus. This confused her as she then told us that they didn’t have menus... though the first chap arrived with dome. Thirdly, there are different bars dotted around, including some outside and a cocktail bar. There’s no mention of these on the menus we were given, and you have to know they there and visit them to order... which nobody was considering you’re told it’s all table service when you arrive. Lastly, they used to offer a food discount through Independent Birmingham that was still listed when we visited. Tried using it, was told pretty bluntly by the member of staff at the food hut that they don’t accept it, which felt quite embarrassing. Clearly this must’ve changed when OPM came in to do the food... but they didn’t bother to tell Independent Birmingham (it has now been updated). It’s definitely worth a visit, the prices are about right and the food is delicious. However, they need to sort out the organisation and work out exactly how they’re operating to help make every visit as good as it could be.More

We were able to reserve the marquee outside for a gathering to celebrate the life of my Dad who recently passed away. We were well looked after by all the Staff and the food provided was excellent. We also used the Pub for my late...Moms gathering in 2017 and the same service was provided then too. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this Pub. Thankyou all.More

This is the first review I have ever done as I am that appalled, I came to have a drink on the first day of opening since pubs closed, I expected a safe, well executed system like most other pubs, clear queing guidelines, table service,...Bookings, temperature checks, staff wearing masks, but no....for some reason the management have only implemented a one way system. I understand this is all new to everyone and may require a lot more effort but to make next to no changes and tick boxes by putting rules on social media And arrows on a floor but then not actively enforcing them seems dishonest, I understand your can’t control peoples ignorance but to not actively enforce or stop serving rule breakers is immoral, clearly this Buisness is all about maxing out the pub and making as much money as possible even in a pandemic as there was next to nothing in terms of control of congregating numbers or any attempt to enforce social distancing, it was like a free for all, people walking up to the bar Wherever and whenever, football with commentary with yobish Football behaviour, no one confronting the drug use in the toilets (or even general toilet checks for that matter), staff seemed disinterested And rude, Really sad to see that The management or the owners are not bothered to make any real effort to do there part In getting the pub industry safe and back to normal Unlike so many of the other pubs I visited Who should be used as examples for pubs such as yourselves, as I quickly Found out as I had my drink and left to find a safe environment. This should not be an industry for you if you are not versatile and wiling to put in some effort to keep your customers safe! Please act upon this ASAP as it is frankly appallingMore

I created an account just to write this review because I felt there was nothing else I could do. I’ve visited the pub many times in the past but have been away for 4/5 months. To say I’m disgusted in the change there is an...understatement! There was not a familiar face in sight, the pub seems to be ran by intoxicated, ill mannered, rude and incapable managers, different to the young gents who I believe turned this pub around a few years back. I visited on a Saturday evening to catch the live music, but ended up having to watch over my wife due to the fact there was so many drunk, uncontrolled and intimidating people there. Worst of all there was serval men sniffing drugs off the beer garden tables openly without a care in the world, I alerted the management but no action was taken at all, they continued to turn a blind eye. I’ve never seen anything like it. I suffer with asthma and found myself coughing a lot while out there in the garden, I later realised that this “beer garden” is more like a conservatory with the lack of open space. There’s only 2 open spaces in the whole structure, about 10% of the space is open, its as good as indoor smoking which I’m sure is very illegal? I don’t know why the gents who had been in charge before left but I can see why they moved on after this visit, such a shame to see the staff I became accustomed with replaced by incompetence. I advise people to go elsewhere, unless drug taking is something that appeals to you.More
