Extremely impressed by the quality, service and value of Opus. Three of us ate a three course meal, with a £35 bottle of wine and service included, for just £150 which I think is very good value given the standard of the food. Ambience was great, staff were attentive and having a separate vegetarian menu always gets the thumbs up... More

From the minute I booked a couple of weeks before my visit, the service was impeccable. When we arrived we were offered to be seated straight away or to have a drink and we chose a drink. The bartender was attentive, but not too much. Once we were ready, we were taken to our table and the wait staff were... More

Superb meal of lobster, fabulous grouse and baked Alaska on a quiet Monday night. Highly imaginative cooking (was that nutmeg with the grouse-whatever it was fulfilled all culinary criteria for genius?!) and great service. My only challenge was my two colleagues did not drink wine- may I make a plea for the odd decent half bottle? Opus has always been... More

Monday's can be a bit 'the morning after' and stagnant but today it was quietly pleasant. We ate as a couple in a sparsely occupied large restaurant but were treated delightfully by a couple of bright and friendly young Europeans. Once again, I praise the European presence in our British restaurants. They just do it so well. Our meal, consisting... More

This was our first visit to Opus Cornwall Street, although we've enjoyed breakfast at Opus One before now. With my wife being a veggie, and having seen a recent Facebook competition showcasing fresh local vegetarian produce, I thought it was time to give here a try. The restaurant has a good choice of dishes to satisfy all tastes - some... More

One of the best "fine dining" restaurants in Birmingham. I'd go back here without hesitation. The service was excellent and the food even better.

Fantastic food - great selection on menu and fab cocktails! Was actually really difficult to choose what to order as everything on the menu sounded phenomenal. Lobster was delicious, as was my quail starter. Service was great too. What more could you ask for?

I went to opus with my wife for our 1 year anniversary. We experienced 1st class service and outstanding food. A beautiful seafood starter with fresh crab meat followed by a whole lobster each, than by dessert with a message on for us. Really impressed! We met the head chef Ben who was modest about the 5 star quality of... More

Description
Opus Restaurant, in Birmingham’s business district, is a top spot for a business lunch or a schmoozey dinner. The cavernous dining room is a dramatic open space decorated in muted hues. The team at Opus are proud of their modern British menu which showcases locally sourced free range meats and freshly caught fish. Favourites include the Lyme Bay Scallops with Belly of Pork and the Grilled Lobster served with Chips and Garlic Butter. The glamorous waiting staff are super-friendly, and the renowned in-house patisserie gives you a great excuse to have a naughty limoncello-cheesecake ending to your meal. It would be rude not to.
