Very well designed restaurant. Service was fantastic and the food was an amazing fusion of east meets west. Great flavours dished up with a modern twist. The salmon and goats cheese somosa is to die for. Highly recommend. Great place for a business meeting, a family meal or a romantic meal for 2.

We opted to walk from Central railway station on a wet day searching for a Indian hotel for a lunch. And there it was itihaas, it was remarkable in presentation and was very spacious with underground level as as well. The hotel was near empty with just one table occupied. We settled and ordered 4 Thalis for 5 people. Water... More

Rarely I had experienced such appalling service. We were shown to our table basically ignored. Ordered for drinks man in tie was not able to explain the wine as lack of knowledge. We ordered for tandoori king prawns and lamb chops for starters, Prawns were spicy and over done and lamb chops was hard as there was no juice in... More

Itihaas is a stunning restaurant where contemporary meets traditional. No expense has been spared in achieving this, and as you step into this two million pounds restaurant, you will certainly see just that. The decor is clean and crisp with plate glass and slate finished walls. This smart and sophisticated interior is complimented by the 18th and 19th century Indian artefacts, including original paintings, carved stone elephants and 300 year old doors. Downstairs, the Maharaja Suite which also seats 80 is luxurious with opulent mood lighting and decorated with more Indian treasures. To complete the real ambience, behind 300 year old Indian wooden doors is the Tiffin Room which seats 12, complete with a bar, library and your very own dedicated butler!Cuisine in this fine establishment is created by award winning chefs and staff who come from Indian Five-Star Hotel backgrounds. They have a single aim - to be able to deliver the authentic Royal Indian dining experience to its patrons with utmost courtesy and hospitality. The menu will take you on a culinary journey through the North of India with a couple of stops through Kenya and vibrant Mumbai. At this royal eatery, indulgence is paramount.
