Divine Dawat

I haven't eaten here in a few years but when I visit Brum and fancy a curry, Dawat is where we come. Bring your own booze concept which suits us fine. There is an off license next door. Food is delicious. Highly recommend the tandoori lamb chops, see pic as a starter. Super succulent on a bed of... read more

Decided to eat out, so my friend and I drove to ladypool road and ended up at Dawat. As always, the minute we entered we were greeted and seated by the waiter Yasin. Who is always a pleasure to see. Wahid came to our table to take our order. We ordered the grilled prawns and samosa for starters. And lamb... More

I found the restaurant too smokey. The ventilation could be improved. It was also freezing in there, in fact we all kept our coats on. Service good. Starters good, mains average Overall average experience.

In Birmingham for a course with others and a decision was made to go out for a curry this evening. On the recommendation of a colleague we went to Dawat restaurant. Everything we ordered was fresh and the spicing subtle but with a bite. The aromas were mouthwatering. All of us had different meals each as delicious as the other.... More

So good to get back to the Dawat. Took some friends who were first time diners. Lovely welcome from Nas!. Food was delicious! Freshly cooked, hot and plenty of it. Well worth a visit. Must not let so much time pass before I eat there again.

Went here by accident, after our usual haunt decided not to allow alcohol anymore.I am very sad that I didnt discover this place years ago, nice surroundings, relaxed atmosphere, off license next door, the food is excellent, and service good. I took a party of 9 family members, some of whom are professional moaners, and everyone was happy.Commendations to the... More

Consistently excellent food which exceeded expectations. Our meal for four was sizzling and incredibly hot, (None of this warming it at the table with a portable gas ring) and perfectly cooked. The nan bread was freshly cooked too as was the rice and spinach we had as side orders. Our waiter Yasin was most efficient and made sure everything we... More

Ate the best balti ever at Dawat yesterday. The king prawn khari and the king prawn balti were superb. Breads were thin and tasty, poppadums very fresh and non greasy, sag and mushrooms both great side dishes and ice and lemon brought for our drinks. Off-licence next door sells chilled wine. Will go back.
