We are regular customers of this warm Polish restaurant. We have never been disappointed by the food. We keep discovering new dishes and drinks. Try the cactus fruit juice with your meal! Delicious apple cake too!

Lovely food, big portions, unique style and flavour. Very pleased. We also found a great nearby car park where you can park all day very cheaply at Oxford St, B5 6DY!

An excellent lunch in this unique restaurant, 14 of us descended on the Karczma for a unique lunch. The Lunch menu included excellent burgers and offers good value for money, the main menu includes some unique Polish dishes including blood soup!

Highly rated by Jay Raynor, I thought that the Karczma was good but nothing special. Everything was cooked well, and I enjoyed my first sampling of Pierogi, especially the mushroom and cabbage pierogi, but I didn't find the Karczma welcoming or comfortable. I asked the waiter if I could move to a table with chairs rather than a bench, but... More

Everyone in my party apart from me and another person (vegetarian) loved their meals. The portions were massive and no one finished because of the sheer size of meal served them. I really struggled to find anything to eat that didn't have meat, fish, dairy or eggs. Eventually I was told that the beetroot soup was OK for vegans so... More

Have walked past the Karczma many times over the years, but not been brave enough to go in as my Polish language is zero :D Always wanted to go in though, purely out of curiosity for the different. Went in on one of the hottest days of the year, finally, with a Polish friend as we were peckish and in... More

This is a very special place in Birmingham offering great Polish home-made flavoured cuisine. I have visited this place several times and love going back. More on the pricey end of scale but the portions are massive - no one leaves this place hungry!

My partner and I visited the restaurant after seeing it on TV when Ainsley Harriet went there with Len Goodman. Warm welcome and shown to our table (Wooden seat/bench and table, typical Polish) with fleece over backrest. We ordered 2 different polish beers followed by 2 different starters and main meals. My starter the soup in the rye bread cottage... More

Description
The Karczma is a traditional Polish restaurant, bar and grill located in the heart of Birmingham, just 5min walk from both the Bull Ring Shopping Centre and Moor Street Rail Station.

Restaurant is decorated in the style of an old Polish country cottage seating 85 people across 2 rooms.

The menu is designed to reflect a homely, hearty and rustic food that's quintessentially Polish, and prepared using only the very best quality ingredients.

The menu contains numerous Polish classics including Pierogi (stuffed dumplings), Berszcz (Beetroot soup), Pickled Herring, Zurek (Pickled Rye Flour Soup) served from a hollowed out loaf of bread, as well as a whole host of grilled meats and fish.

We wish you a pleasant stay and Enjoy !!!
