Wonderful building - would be great in summer with the roof terrace

Great building and atmosphere - food a bit more lite bite and good for lunch. Not sure what it would be like as a dinner venue. I would imagine in the summer would be a fantastic venue with its roof terrace

We came here on a recommendation from a friend as we were shopping in the jewellery quarter. The building is amazing very industrial with fairy lights! It would make a fab wedding venue, or big party location. The service was pleasant if a little ditzy (they sometimes seemed a little unsure). We found a great little cosy corner to sit... More

Popped in after visiting a nearby jewellers for a bit to eat, really lovely looking building and welcoming, friendly staff. As it was lunch time we only wanted sandwiches, though the larger meals on the menu sounded delicious. Our sandwiches arrived quickly along with some really great rustic chips, very tasty but quite pricy - £7.50 is a lot for... More

The Drop Forge inside is sort of urban and "trendy" although they could do with washing or replacing some of there cushions and sofas as they are quite dirty. The service is okay, the foods fab! I would go again. Just needs a clean and some more staff other than that its a nice place and makes a change from... More

I didn't even have a Trip Advisor account before but after visiting The Drop Forge I felt like sharing my experience. After seeing quite a few positive reviews about this place I am wondering how it is possible.... Even two stars seems excessive to me... First of all building is nice, a bit dirty inside but not the worst I've... More

My husband and I ate here a week ago as we have previously and are always greeted with a welcome. Menu and drinks served quickly and we shared salmon pate at £6 plenty for two. Chicken burger and kedgeree were excellent and cost £21.50. The burger was huge and my husband said the kedgeree was the best ever eaten. Toilets... More

As it was a busy weekend most places near the hotel were fully booked so we explored the area and found the drop forge. A great place, good food.

Good atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. I ordered grilled fish and it arrived cold and had to be returned to be cooked properly. I did not think much of the accompanying vegetables. The staff very apologetic and handled my complaint well They need to urgently look at the quality of food that they serve. Employ a new chef

First time coming here for a meal since a change of chef after Tom leaving. Have to say I felt it was a little disappointing with the kitchen under Tom hands the food was excellent on the high end for the Jewellery Quarter and would recommend coming here. Little confused what the target audience they're trying to attract, is it... More

I recently ate here with with a group of 10 and we all thoroughly enjoyed the night! We arrived for our table at 8pm as we had booked, however the table wasn't quite ready but we were more than happy to hang around by the bar and have a couple of drinks while we waited. We had pre-ordered our food... More
