Had looked at the reviews and decided to take a punt and my friend and I were absolutley not disappointed. Despite not booking, they were able to seat us and despite being a Wednesday evening, it was fairly full. The atmosphere was relaxed but professional and the steaks that we had were some of the best in a long time.... More

Booked here for my girlfriend and another couple to have dinner on a Saturday night. The Bordeaux we had was excellent. The starters of bread were fairly average. The steak itself? Fatty, chewy and not great. Didn't understand why one bowl of chips and one bowl of veg was to be split between four people? We complained and did get... More

I read reviews on Andersons site and booked a table as most reviews were very good. The crackling on my pork starter was soggy and the pork was very fatty, I ordered a medium Dexter steak but it came out very well done so sent it back (which is something I don't normally do)and so did someone on our table... Only been once and that was with work for a christmas meal. We were a very large group and that being taken in to consideration the food and the service were good. Not astounding but very decent. Haven't been back as its not really the sort of restaurant I would frequent but over all it was fine.

Good location / ambience, pleasant welcome upon arrival and outstanding service throughout the evening. Starters were excellent and whilst my business partner was very impressed with his steak, I was served what ranks as most probably the worst excuse for a ribeye steak that I have ever experienced. That said, credit where credit is due; our waitress informed the management... More

We went for a family birthday based on the recommendation of both of our kids (who, together with their partners, were with us of course !) and can only echo their praise from their previous visits. Between us we covered five appetisers and six mains from the menu and no one had a single word of complaint on any aspect.... More

Great steaks, cooked perfectly how requested. Love the roasted bulb of garlic given with the bread selection. Lots of space between tables, be willing to spend money ( never been an issue when dining out as the quality and experience make it worth if done correctly, which it always has when dining here ).

Lovely staff and amazing food. Steaks were perfect, sauces wonderful and puddings were delicious!! Found on tripadvisor, managed to fit us in for Friday night dinner when only booking on Wednesday, didn't rush us for the table back. Definitely would go back next time in Brum, Recommend a visit.

Had another fabulous evening at this gem of a restaurant. This time we took my family as a treat as they had not been before, my husband and I have been 4 times since we found it a year ago. Food was amazing as always, tasty and cooked to perfection. We all had bread and garlic followed by pork belly... More

Nice calm relaxing atmosphere. The waitress are friendly and helpful. Fast services. The food was delicious. I had the surf and turf and it was beautiful cooked and presented. I highly recommend the white chocolate cheesecake.

Situated on St Pauls Church square, Andersons Bar and Grill is found in the interesting surroundings of former 18th century cellars. However this restaurant is as far from a dingy basement bar as it is possible to be lush, sophisticated dcor brings light and space to the brick arched room, changing displays of art is displayed on the walls and theres a definite buzz to the atmosphere. With a dedication to providing great value food in a relaxed setting along with top quality service, Andersons Bar and Grill is already making its mark on the local dining scene. The food, sourced locally is of course hearty grill fayre but presented with a touch of class so even old favourites such as Barnsley chop or grilled plaice are actually rather special.
