My wife and I had an excellent meal here 25JUL2017. Kitchen still open at 9pm. Swordfish steak with veg and quatro staggione pizza were both excellent and not too pricey £25 for two with tap water - no wine this time

Starter appeared with main - cold. Pizza poorly cooked, dripping in grease but without taste - sent back. House Red not bad. Paid for the wine and left. Ambiance - plastic back street transport cafe. - the only one in that evening says everything.

My partner and I decided to try this restaurant as we saw it had a good range of fish specials, and it can be very hard to find good seafood in Birmingham. We were not disappointed! We ordered bread as we had seen on TripAdvisor...More

Good little place, not the best inside, but clean and tidy. I found the service very good and the food was excellent. Reasonable from a price point of view and not to far from the city centre.

Quiet Tuesday evening, great location by St Paul's square - restaurant deserves more custom. Swordfish well cooked with great piazzolla sauce. Excellent service. Good value for money. Decor trad Italian - slightly tired but didn't detract from the good authentic tasting food. These smaller restaurants...More

This place always looks quiet but we needed somewhere to eat at 8pm on a Sat night due to late getting our act together. The food was actually really good but the ambiance was not. Service quite slow considering there was only one other table....More

"Positioned on Ludgate Hill with views over St Paul’s Square, Locanta offers a relaxed, convivial atmosphere with just the right amount of city bustle. Set in an old Victorian building, Locanta is packed with gorgeous period details, complimented by smart décor and furnishings. Pick a second floor table right by the window and enjoy a birds eye view of passers by through huge sash windows as you dine. Locanta’s Italian and Mediterranean menu has a fresh, summery feel whatever the time of year. Indulge in a freshly baked pizza at lunchtime or treat yourself to a three course feast of salads and grills made from carefully sourced ingredients from national and international markets. "
