A first visit to Turners this week for a business dinner. It’s been on my list to visit for a while, not least because I’ve dined many times at Simpsons, Purnell’s and Adam’s and since it’s one of the five Michelin starred restaurants in the city. I can honestly say I’ve never been to Harborne either, so a number of... More

Superb food.Evening dinner at this unassuming but comfortable restaurant. Had the tasting menu and every dish was lovely. This is a Michelin starred restaurant and you could tell. Really well constructed food. Nice wine list and the actual service was good. The meal ran on a little and i think we were there for well over 4 hours but the... More

We were lucky enough to have eaten here last Saturday for lunch. We had such a lovely time. We have eaten in all the big restaurants in town and for us this beats them all. I can't believe we waited so long to visit. It's cozy size gives it a lovely atmosphere. The food was truly fabulous, real Michelin star... More

After our last visit I had stated that we would not go again. However, we decided to give the restaurant another chance, as the food is always good (and that is what we are really going for, after all). The two new staff at Front of House were both charming, a young French man and a young lady from Zambia.... More

We booked this restaurant on recommendation from a friend and the food was just sensational - every course was a work of art in its own right and the wines were a perfect match for each course. We had the best cheese board I've ever had and the staff were very attentive, courteous but not overly fussy - just perfect... More

We visited the restaurant with another couple for our tenth wedding anniversary. The table was booked for eight thirty. At five minutes past twelve we had still not received our main course. The whole night was delivered with a total lack of grace. We sat for an hour without a drink. Sauce was accidentally poured over my friend's top, the... More

I would give no stars if I could, we left after 4 hours with no main course and no apology from the chef and a derisory discount after refusing to pay the bill we were presented with. As we were having a celebratory dinner for friends. I could list all the issues but don't have the will to waste any... More

At a time when the whole country seemingly is wringing its collective hands about a recent referendum result, I have rather greater regrets on my mind. My regret, as regulars at Turners Restaurant will surely sympathise with me about, is that I have lived over 60 years of my life and only just now have paid my first ever visit... More

Well its that time of year again. We decided to take a Friday afternoon off and go for a special lunch at Turners in Harborne. We came here about 6 years ago for an adventurous full tasting menue with wine. A delicious and extravagant treat. We have not been able to get back for years as our day is Mondays... More
