We ordered the lamb chops, steak and hake. They were superbly done. The starters which were scallops and figs were also well done. If we had tread the reviews, probably we should have tried the guinea fowl. We also had the Malbec. Perhaps we came...More

Without a doubt our favourite restaurant in Stratford. Fabulous food, great gin & wine and charming staff. Make sure you check out the specials board, the scallops are to die for but the fishcakes and the chicken livers are amazing. I always choose the guinea...More

Read reviews and spoke to genuine locals. Glad we did as this was a fabulous choice. Food and service was top notch. You know when its a 5 star establishment when the chef comes out to talk to you. Worth a visit all day long.

Excellent pre- theatre meal. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and were very friendly. Food was excellent and served quickly- which was great as we were on a timetable. Steak was cooked to perfection and the menu was varied.

A family run restaurant where they make an extra effort for their customer. The Chef comes out to check on your allergies and talk about your menu if you’re lacto intolerant-ish as my partner is, & without any prompting (I forgot - oops!) they brought...More

I am surprised a number of locals we spoke to have not been here. I can honestly say it was the best meal I have eaten in Stratford which I have had a relationship with for nearly 40 years. Ignore the impression from the outside...More

The limited menu here is a slight drawback but each dish is extremely well prepared. The vegetables are cooked al dente and went well with the hake. The frangipane is excellent. A little more variation to the menu would be appreciated.
