Walked in for a little lunch as it looked very nice, and we certainly were not disappointed. Could not believe the high standard of food at such a low price, especially when you consider it is directly opposite William Shakespeare's school house! So good we rebooked to make sure we could dine on our last evening ( Thursday the lobster... More

Service too slow - 35 minutes for a starter when you only have an hour for lunch - then the wrong starter, then poor quality mussels that tasted like they had been hanging around on the rope for too long. Shame but we won't be going back, there are many better places in Stratford to choose from.

My boyfriend and I first visited Church Street Townhouse a few months back and had a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday evening whilst listening to some live music. Last night I suggested we return for an impromptu dinner - as such we hadn't booked a table. A young, pleasant waitress greeted us and suggested we pick a table since most were free... More

We have just returned home from a two night stay at the Church Street Townhouse. Breakfast was included. Yesterday my husband and I had the full English. I requested poached eggs with mine but they were over cooked with no runny yolk. And, although we had to ask for butter for our toast and no sauce or ketchup was offered,... More

This hotel was amazing. It's in walking distance of all attractions. The room we stayed in was spacious and had everything we needed including hair dryer, straighteners, ironing board, iron and tea making facilities. Also bottles of water and biscuits. The bed was huge and the bathroom was lovely. The tub and shower were really big and comfortable as was... More

We have visited a few times and this restaurant always has a great ambience, often with a pianist playing in the background. The food is very good, as is the service.

Townhouse use to be a weekely/daily place for me and my friends for a late drink or a earlie meal. Now the only thing that make us go back is Jhonathan, he is an execellent Pianist, and even having to put up with a bad service, to listen to him, we will go back anyday hes in.

I find this a lovely place to meet friends during the day. It has charm and the ambience perfect for chat over a meal. Never feel rushed.

This lovely bar and hotel has had a few transformations over the years, some not so great. However as locals to Stratford upon Avon we continue to frequent the bar which has friendly and welcoming staff. Michaela absolutely has to be mentioned as a cheerful and friendly person who was clearly under pressure this evening but still smiled constantally and... More

The food is really delicious there: well presented , perfectly cooked and creatively designed dishes, portions are generous , and the dining room is comfortable. Service is a bit slow.
