Thoroughly enjoyed a really well presented and cooked tasting menu - the 9 From No 9. Each course was really well thought through and tasty. The accompanying wines were superb. My standout courses were the duck and the cherry clafoutis. Service is super friendly and competent, but there were occasions where we waited a while longer than we'd expect in... More

Perfect for a pre-theatre meal, at least. Imaginative menu, quality food, very well cooked, at reasonable prices (£15 for two courses). Extremely friendly and good humoured service, tolerant of fussy customers just in our ear-shot. I sometimes think restaurant should be able to review customers and issue no-goes!

Turned up at five for pre-theatre meal. Got the impression they might have been close to fully booked but they "squeezed us in." Three courses, bottle of wine, coffee. I cannot believe that I paid significantly less than I have done for standard bistro/brasserie fare for a meal which was so good. (£61. For two.) Go there. I suggest you... More

Went for dinner and arrived just after the pre-theatre crowd had left. Staff excellent - attentive without being over the top. The food is superlative - the squid ink crackers are unusual and delicious. Wine list out of the ordinary - we had a remarkably good bottle of Cote Catalan from Roussillon.

I am a local resident for 28 years No.9, for me is one of the best, if not the best places to eat in Stratford, if you are looking for fresh quality food, served by a professional team, in a small well kept restaurant, then look no further. Wayne, the owner and chef produces wonderful food both lunchtime and evening,... More

We discovered this hidden gem by accident and highly recommend it. The staff are lovely, friendly and know their stuff ☺ A lovely ambience. We enjoyed the 9 course tasting menu paired with matching wines, which were explained before being served. The menu itself was innovative and beautiful; the tasting menus are changed monthly. I adored the belly pork canape,... More

Went for a special meal in a group Unfortunately sat on the most uncomfortable bench seat out Food all seemed very tasty Nicely presented Not cheap Sadly was up in the night with an upset tummy.......due to a fizzy cheese starter.....it was obviously off, but we didn't realise til later. So we were unable to do anything at the time......but... More

You could be forgiven for walking passed this little gem given its location. They serve a wide variety of delicious tapas in larger than average portions.

This restaurant stands out in Stratford as it produces great dishes from a sensibly limited menu. Having visited on a number of occasions, the food is consistently high quality and enjoyable. The staff are helpful without intruding. Recommended!
