Been going there for a long time. Very accommodating when not booked. Guy who is in charge is obsessively organised and attentive. Quick service every time. The first thing I noticed was that their prices had gone up and that chips, rice and salads which previously came with the main meals were now extras at £1.50 or £2. I ordered lentil... More

I've LONG been a fan of Al Baik, having been a regular customer for years until I recently moved away. Made a visit tonight, eagerly anticipating the usual good food at great prices. In vain. Our starters were slightly less good than before, but no big deal, we thought. However, our main course, Chicken Shwarma was shredded chicken and fatty,... More

We have just finished University at Newcastle, and through our entire 3 years here The Bake has been our favourite takeaway. The food is always delicious, the service swift and it's cheap! When we told The Bake we are leaving Newcastle they put us some free treats in our delivery! Thank you so much! We could not recommend The Bake... More
