My husband and I regularly visit and we have never been disappointed in the quality of their food. Their fish soup is incredibly flavoursome and along with their lasagne always provides a wonderful and satisfying experience. Apart from the delicious food the main reason we continue to return is because of the brilliant, vibrant ambience and the great service that... More

We've been eating at Pani's for years and years, it's great for our young son, the owners always treat him superbly, and the food was always good and reasonably priced. Recently however the food has become brilliant, but still more than readonably priced. We took some american friends last week, one of whom was a serious foodie. He had a... More

This restaurant is consistent in providing good service, fair prices (a flat white is £1.75) and really lovely authentic Italian food. The 'specials' yesterday included a very tasty seafood salad with, crab, prawns etc- all for £7. A glass of house wine is £3.50. This place deserves support

This has always been a brilliant spot for my grandma and myself whenever we've done a bit of shopping etc in the city centre as it's a gluten free menu. The lasange is the best I've had - and it's always a toughy between Tiramisu and Profiteroles. I'm travelling to Italy in October and coming here gets me so so... More

A sunny Saturday afternoon in Newcastle... Where to eat? My boyfriend remembered 'Pani's' and we set about finding it.... Down a small side street, away from the crowds and chain restaurants. We are so glad we found it! Very reasonably priced, authentic Italian fare, served with the typical warmth and lovely nature of its Sardinian owner Roberto and his staff.... More

The criticism first. This place is very loud. It's downstairs in a basement with a vaulted ceiling and the noise level ramps up all the time. You could not have a quiet conversation. Now that's out of the way, the good news - the food was excellent. My pasta was a shape I had never seen before. It was called... More

I found this Italian restaurant/cafe bar on trip advisor and saw the good reviews. I booked it for after my son's graduation and wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere was lively but not loud, the staff were attentive and extremely efficient and the food was beautiful. All at extremely reasonable prices too! Our menu choices ranged from prawn starters and garlic bread... More

Haven't been here for a while but I used to love coming here. It's still just as good. The service was very good and the place was fairly busy. The chicken with prawns (Pollo Pippo) was divine and my fathers Pollo Lello looked equally good. There isn't a kids menu as such but both kids polished off their smaller portion... More

Another fine meal at Panni`s. Tiger Prawn Risotto which was excellent. £25 per couple which included a Garlic Bread starter, 4 mains, a bottle of Rose Wine and a Pironi. All the food was first class, hot and served promptly.
