This restaurant is a great find. Lots of different option on the menu although maybe too many yummy options to choose from! I went for the meal deal including a starter and main. My pasta dish (seafood pasta) was really good. Just the right amount and full of flavour. My Dads steak was delicious and chips were really good, nice... More

Can always rely on Paradiso for a good meal in Newcastle. Spot on Italian food. I do feel that the menu could/should be a lot smaller as it can seem overwhelming. I would recommend this place over the chain Italians in Newcastle (Jamie's, Carluccio etc) - better atmosphere and more authentic food.

Discovered Paradiso on our one night in Newcastle. A great find, enhanced by the fact it was the beginning of the city's restaurant week, which meant high value specials. After a day of traveling, the cold Peroni and good wine selection hit the spot. Service was friendly and personal. Portions were immense. Getting through the fishcake and a delicious pizza... More

Fillet steak was outstanding. Pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended. The staff could have attended to us more quickly but overall a great experience.

At first we (the vegetarian and the picky child) were not blown away by the choices on the menu and struggled to choose but, after some thought we found a pasta starter with a spicy kick that nobody could pronounce. When my son asked for a starter and there was no potato skins ,which he wanted, they went out of... More

Excellent meal again. We both had the two course specials which were very good value, mussels for starters and a mixed fish grill for mains. A good selection on both a la carte and fixed price menu. Had a nice glass of wine on the terrace after our meal. Service and staff were excellent.

Myself and my partner visited Paradiso's last Saturday evening, although I had phoned in and booked a table in advance, when we got there we were told that other customers had used the online booking system incorrectly (as you have to do it at least 5 days in advance), turned up expecting a table and were given one, so despite... Been here a few times now just in the past month or so and it's because the range of food is excellent. Would quite happily work my way down the menu here until every dish is ticked off!

This a great venue for lunch or evening meal. The service is always excellent by very friendly and attentive waiters. The food is special and very authentic, not like all the chain type restaurants out there these days. All reasonably priced too. A great atmosphere as there have always been plenty of customers there when I have been there. What... More

Description
One of those restaurants you'll discover by word of mouth rather than by walking past. Tucked away down Market Lane, Paradiso is a hidden treasure.

The restaurant is split into three main floors. The first floor, which is also the main seating floor seats up to 60, has a bar and a spacious outdoor terrace for alfresco dining. The second floor contains the open-plan kitchen and another seating area, which is able to seat up to 50. This floor is smaller than the first floor, but is still capable of holding large parties with ease, and again, we can accommodate parties of any size and number. If you require more privacy, our third floor is a private dining room which can seat up to 45. As this room features skylights, it is a bright, warm space and is spacious enough to be used for any kind of event, such as dining, presentations and so on.
