There was not a lot to fault about this place. Staff were efficient, friendly. Decor is good but my dislike of extremely busy city centre restaurants has maybe tainted my opinion. The onion bhaji starter was good, but the salad that came with it was barely an excuse for a salad and certainly not the freshest of salads. Thats where... More

The curry is definitely the best I've had in Newcastle so far. Friendly staff and I had a really lovely visit.

We often visit both Dabbawal restaurants and really enjoy the tapas type of dining. The Jesmond restaurant is the nicest place but the food in both is excellent. We visited on Wednesday lunchtime and there were not many people in. We were given a warm welcome and well looked after. The food is served when ready so you don't know... More

Visiting daughter at Uni - took her and her boyfriend out for dinner - this was their choice! Excellent meal with lots of interesting options. Good to have choices that run of the mill curry houses don't offer and loads of choice for veggies! Lively atmosphere and obviously a very popular place.

Called in on the off chance to eat here and they arranged a booking within about 40 minutes as they'd had a booking not honoured, giving us the chance to pop to Bacchus for a drink. The place is well decorated and busy with a nice atmosphere. 4 of us ate and chose mains rather than the tapas options. Food... More

Went with friends on Sunday night (19th Feb). Restaurant was reasonable full. Food was good, a bit different to alot of Indian Restaurants we have been too in the past - but that was what we expected, having read reviews and the menu before booking! All in all a good experience. Good service and food.

Attended before 6:00pm for an evening with friends. Exceptional value and quality 'tea time' menu, ideal for theatregoers or, like us, heading to cinema afterwards. Food presentation and quality is always to a really high standard and this is possibly our favourite Indian restaurant. On a Thursday night, it was packed. The chefs special surprise menu is a must try.
