We were looking for somewhere to have a cheap and Cheerful lunchtime meal and decided on Amicis. 2 courses for £5.20. 3 courses for an extra £1.
The day we visited it was only open between 12.00-2.00pm for lunches.
Arrived and seated quickly. Staff friendly and welcoming. We ordered a mixture of starters of potato skins and soup. All arrived in good time and good quality. For mains we had pizzas and pasta. Again, arrived in good time and was of good quality.
My only slight gripe is the cost of drinks. 2 halfs of peroni cost as much as a two course meal!
I have been before, and no doubt will return again

I have a gluten, dairy, soya and garlic intolerance. When ordering at amici I explained this, they were very understanding and reassured me I could have the potato skins with tomato sauce and made me gluten free pasta with my own sauce to go with it. If anyone has an intolerance this is a safe place to visit, friendly staff and great food.

We used online ordering for the first time yesterday. We have visited the restaurant and had takeaways in the past. The meals arrived at the estimated time and were red hot, tasty and delicious. Could not fault the service, food or delivery. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

Unfortunately we never actually got to eat here. I booked a table online and received confirmation for the booking which was for a special occasion and a surprise. However when we arrived the restaurant was closed!! Which left us in a quandary. What do we do now?
I couldn’t believe it! Why have a system that allows you to book when not open!!
What has been most upsetting is how the restaurant has dealt with this or should I say not dealt with this.
I rang them to explain what happened and I was advised to send an email and attach the booking as this should not of happened. 4 days passed and not even an acknowledgment of my complaint. I rang them and I was accused it was my fault for not knowing the opening times . . . Sorry but I am not google! If I make a booking and get confirmation why should I query it? The attitude of I think the manager was shocking he couldn’t even say sorry. No basic level of customer care - it’s clear they don’t care about their customers, no sympathy and was quite aggressive.
However hats off to Bella Italia who were very accommodating in our time of need and great food 👍
Safe to say I will never be going back to Amici
I wanted to give a zero rating but one was the lowest I could rate.

Came here today with my family, had to sit on the most uncomfortable hard seats I've ever sat on in a restaurant, I kept having to change position as it was painful. Also they decided to play annoying pop music which didn't give an authentic Italian restaraunt vibe but was pretty distracting. Most of us ordered the specials on the back, my sister got white wine sent to her instead of red and also 2 coffees instead of one so had to send them back, starters and mains come no bother and the food was nice. But was ruined by having to wait 30 minutes to get the bill as staff were far too preoccupied by the smaller tables and ignored us, one group of 3 people got seen to 5 whole times before our table was seen to. Those of us who got our 3rd course finally got our ice creams and coffees but they had put my mams at full price instead of part of the deal for some reason, but she was too tired to complain at the time so we just paid and left.
Food was ok but the service was pretty poor, the staff just seemed to be in a world of their own. Probably won't be visiting anytime again soon..

Visited for Xmas day lunch. Upon arrival not even a merry xmas from staff.
Service extremely slow and unwelcoming.
No xmas happy atmosphere at all
No welcome glass of fizz
Soup served without a bread bun, even though side plates given?
Prawn cocktail served sloppily on a plate
Main course very little gravy.
Veg especially sprouts rock hard and unable to cut. Inedible.
Stuffing missing on one plate, when we asked for it the waiter was very grumpy and made us feel uncomfortable. I have visited Amiccis many times and food always lovely. Xmas day however was an utter embarrasment and complete rip off at £55pp. Never ever again!

Over the last few months I’ve often ordered takeaway from Amici. Absolutely brilliant food and service. You can tell the food is made fresh as it always arrives warm and on time.

Much better deliveries elsewhere.
Ordered Sunday lunches which arrived a little early which was not a problem but the dinners were lukewarm at best considering we are about 5 minutes away. We ordered and paid for extras which they failed to deliver. I have emailed them twice but the can’t be bothered to reply.
Order somewhere else people!

I can only apologise for the error in your delivery where extra items ordered had not been sent. It is unfortunate that you did not contact the restaurant directly by phone as soon as you received the order which would have allowed us to rectify the problem immediately.
I note that you sent two emails regarding the missing items. One at approx 4pm on the Sunday and a second one on Tuesday 23rd. You then posted a review on Trip Advisor where you also stated that the food was of poor quality - a complaint not mentioned on the emails.
I acknowledge the delay in responding to your emails is unacceptable.
Food orders are received on a mobile app and sent directly to printer for processing. We don’t physically scroll through the order emails. These are used as back up for information if there is an issue. Unfortunately, your email was overlooked, I can only surmise that due to the additional pressures and complications in our industry at the moment, human error prevailed.
Fortunately this has highlighted a problem and therefore we are restructuring our admin system to hopefully ensure this does not happen again.

Ordered our collection today for 5pm, food ready for our collection time.
Three starters, pizzas and side salad all food was delicious went down a treat on this Saturday in lockdown. Been good to this restaurant for several years and always good food and good service from pleasant staff.

Just back from here for nephews 14th birthday meal with a party of 11. Great and friendly service from the moment we entered until the moment we left. I had the calamari el diavlo (think thats how its spelt) starter. Great texture on the calamari and the sauce was beautiful. Main course was the fillet steak surf and turf. Steak was requested medium rare and was cooked to perfection. Great tasting steak and a nice garlic buttery sauce which wasnt overpowering at all. Sevred with a nice bowl of chips. TBH i havent asked any1 elses opinions on their meals yet but there were no complaints at the table, and there would have been if there were any. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful meal

Went for some food and stood at the entrance for over 5 mins waiting to be seated , 4 members of staff walked past and looked at me, not one spoke to me, not acknowledged at all . 3 men at the bar drinking looked over and then 2 went behind the bar so assumed they were staff also , nothing said either. Gave up and walked out. Shame really as the foods not bad but they obviously didn’t want my custom this time.

Just come back from a family meal at Amici’s for my sons 9th birthday.
Absolutely fabulous. Staff were brilliant and attentive. Food was beautiful and piping hot. There was a slight mix up with my partners order but was handled with the minimum of fuss and solved straight away. Also my mum isn’t a fan of tomatoes which sometimes puts her off however she asked for a dish to be made without and the staff were more than happy to oblige. 5 star service. Staff came out with ice cream and candles singing happy birthday to my son which he just loved. They did this without us asking which I thought was a lovey

Will def be back soon. Overall a fab time.

I used to go to Casa's all of the time but fancied giving this place a try instead and i'm glad i did. The restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived at our pre booked time but we still got an ok table right next to one of the pillars. Ordered drinks and then food, literally within 5 minutes our starters arrived which was pretty quick but they were nice. My lasagne was unreal but my wive's chicken thigh dish was very oily especially the potatoes which she said was a shame as the rest was nice. The surroundings were pleasant, the staff friendly enough, the food was decent and the specials menu was really good value. I will definitely be back once everthing returns to normal if that ever happens.........

Me and my family went on a lovely night out for a meal at amici and we ordered some lovely thin crust pizzas which were cooked to perfection. We had friendly service especially from the waiter Ioannis liakris he was a lovely fella. Highly recommend you go for food at amici

My food arrived 12 minutes after everyone else on my table. It annoyed me that when I politely asked the waitress how much longer my food would be she snapped back rudely and responded ‘well some people had starters’. I didn’t have a starter, and I don’t see how it was relevant. The second waitress on shift had to come back to the table to ask me what I’d ordered!? The Sunday dinner wasn’t great and the service was pretty poor.
