The food is always exceptionally good. The staff are always good natured and obliging. Service is variable and can be slow. However last night it was good in spite of being very busy. Rather noisy but pleasant atmosphere.

Visited with friends and found that the food was good quality, recommend cheese garlic bread, risotto and 4 cheese pizza.Good selection of wine and lager available.Only downsides are the Service charge and the non attentive waiting Staff, had to constantly chase for drinks or food.Would have given 5 stars if these two downsides were rectified.

This place is beautifully decorated and the menu sounds good but is very much just average. My friends and I had the two course option and it was fine, nothing more, nothing less. It took a long time to be approached to ask if we wanted drinks despite the restaurant not having many people in, and later on when I... More

I have visited this restaurant several times and find the early bird menu to be fantastic value. I love the restaurants ambience and decoration - especially in summer when you feel as though you could be sitting in a Greek tavern - however I have always thought the waiters let the place down. I find them to be patronising, arrogant... More

Went to the cafe in Gosforth for the second time after the Jesmond closed. I ordered chicken stew which tasted fine but not hot enough and came on it's own with no bread. My wife ordered a panini which arrived barely warm with cheese stil hard and tomatoes cold. After complaining sandwich was put in chiller after my wife and... More

We came here for an early tea before a fireworks display. The early bird menu is very good but we were taken by the tapas menu as it works out as very good value. It was getting busy and took a while to get our food ordered. The kids pasta was very good. The tapas was generally excellent although the... More

We had a table of four. First time for two of us. We had the two course early evening menu. Everyone enjoyed the food, the ambience and the staff were excellent. Service charge on the bill of around £10 wasn't an issue,we happily covered it, but were discomforted when the cash payment took forever to be taken to the till... More

Have eaten here absolutely loads, for lunch, dinner, takeaway. Always get good friendly service and a decent meal. This place has good vegetarian options- the Melanzana alla Parmigiana aubergine dish is soooo tasty!! The happy hour option is great value also and the food is of the same high quality. Would highly recommend.

Visited with my family for the first time in about 4 years. My only previous visit was ruined by poor service and I'm afraid things haven't changed in that time. Things got off to a good start but went rapidly downhill once orders were placed and drinks served. After a long wait of over twenty five minutes the Fritto Misto... More

Me and my boyfriend regularly visit the cafe. Lovely vibe and great food. The girls that work there are lovely very friendly and cheerful. However the restaurant is very much different. The decor is very modern, a little taste of Italy. The issue was the food and the service. I opted for the pigeon it was cut in two halfs... More
