Attended with a work associate and we enjoyed food from both the lunchtime menu and a la carte. Humous with crudities was really very good as a starter, as were the main courses of gnocchi with pork and the simple yet elegant chicken and goats cheese salad.

From entering this restaurant it was clear service and quality are priorities in making sure customers have a lovely evening. We were shown to our table by a polite, cheerful young lady, sorry I didn't catch her name. The positive energy of the team shone through, resulting in a wonderful, warm and friendly atmosphere. Our waitress came along, introduced herself,... More

Being one of the popular restaurants in Newcastle, it's not too much of a surprise that I had to wait awhile before a table is available. There is the bar area where you can enjoy a drink while waiting. I tried the flatten beef rump, done medium (or pink in this case). The steak was slightly on the salty side... More

I decided to try Gusto for my birthday and it was amazing! We chose the early dining menu and it was such good value for money. Great choice of cocktails, bruschetta and mushroom risotto are both amazing and full of flavour! Had a great evening, definitely recommend.

A modern stylish stop on the quayside. Seafood was delicious, particularly the lobster and prawn spaghetti. We arrived without a reservation but were given a lovely table upstairs with a view over the river. An excellent start to our weekend away.

With great company and excellent staff/service our Friday's are made extra special with our regular, very helpful and cheerful waitress Monica. Here's to... More

My partner and I came to Gusto to celebrate our second Valentine's Day together and it was a wonderful night. The food was delicious and the service was brilliant too. I've never had one complaint about this place and it's worth every penny! Can't wait to go back!

Description
As if the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the Baltic Art Gallery weren't enough reason to visit Newcastle's Quayside, there is also Gusto. Make the most of those sunshine days on the beautiful terrace, and when the evening (or the clouds) draw in, step inside the large, lively bar - with a superb choice of wines and cocktails. Add a 200-year-old olive tree, sprinkled in fairy lights, and Gusto Newcastle makes any day magical.
