We ordered a brownie as there was a sign behind bar saying brownies £1.25 on a bar snack menu . When ordering you have to write on a slip of paper we wrote brownieX3 we didn’t write anything about ice cream. When the bill came...we queried why it was so expensive and was told they were actually £6.50 each + 10% charge as they were actually a dessert. We tried to explain but we were Ignored. When they arrived they were the same brownies that were on display advertised for £1.25 but were served with a small amount of ice cream .More

Awful service, considering service charge is added it is just plain rude. Discrimination against students concerning plastic cups just because we are students we are automatically served reused plastic cups. Staff are slow and often rude to perfectly reasonable requests. A terrible all round pub...experience for what should be a staple of any good pub, the Sunday roast and pint. I shan’t be returning. Cosy dove, more like dozy dove.More

Give your head a wobble old chap. Re-used plastic glasses, I think not. Even with the service charge the drinks are as reasonable as anywhere. If you don't like what we offer don't come. Staff are not slow, they are rushed off their feet given...More

First time here since lockdown Absolutely fantastic had Duck Gyoja dumplings with Teriyaki dip. Then Chicken tenders with Blue cheese and Syracha dips. Garlic dry rub fries. Huge tenders. Cooked perfectly. Dumplings beautiful with lovely moist duck inside. I can highly recommend this new menu...Excellent friendly service and fair pricesMore

We came back for their famous £2 Tuesdays and found this was no longer the case. Still love the place but it’s just not the same and both the drinks and menu are no longer value for money. Staff were also unwelcoming.More

thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We will not be able to offer £2 Tuesdays any time soon: this is due to rising costs of ingredients, double staffing costs and current Govt Restrictions. We have extended 50% off main courses for the...More

This cute pub is just fab! 1st visit, but definitely not the last. Food was beautiful, service was excellent. Lovely, spacious, clean and comfy. Took advantage of their extended EOTHO..this is for prebooked tables and applies to main course. I don't normally have desert but...so glad I did! Home made rhubarb crumble and custard was simply divine. Well done Cosy Dove, can't wait to come back and try out Sunday lunchMore
