Went in for a Sunday lunch with my family. The kids ordered the usual fish and chips, hubby ordered Chilli & Garlic roasted squash and I ordered the crispy duck with Asian Salad. We indulged on the scallops and wild mushrooms for starters. Everything was...spot on and delicious. Social distancing rules was adhered to and the customer service is faultless. My 3 kids and I (yes includes the husband) left smiling, will definitely be returning!More

I enjoyed coffee when we arrived and then an excellent Club Sandwich. Nice food, efficient service and a wide range of drinks available.

White house has really impressed me in how they are dealing with the current situation, covid safe and policies are tight and strict which made me feel safe and created a great atmosphere. We only came in for drinks without a booking, the host found...us a table when the pub and the garden was full, loads of information on how to log in to track and trace to speed up the process which made it easier. End up having food as they looked great and am glad we did as we tried 5 starters which were faultless, ample of flavours with fresh ingrediants. Service was attentive but not over the top just perfect found a real gem we will be back, shame we never came to this pub in the pastMore

Best place for great cocktails especially expresso martini and Gins as they have some great selections. Service was excellent and fast as we sat in their beer garden using the app which was explained to us very well. Set up is great and effective in...every way for a customer to use. Very busy pub under current circumstances and I would alway recommend this beautiful pub which provides great service and drinks. Must try their new menu soon as they looked great while it was delivered to other tablesMore

My husband, myself and couple of our friends came few weeks ago to this lovely pub. It is a perfect place to relax and feel cosy... We were having a meal for a special occasions. From the moment we walked in we were very well...look after by a very polite and professional staff throughout the evening. Staff was very organised and knowledgeable in advising what food to choose. Food was tasty, fresh and beautifully decorated. We really felt like we were in a great restaurant. The cosy table in the corner with comfy sofa made us feel extra relaxed while enjoying our guests company. We really couldn’t have had a more perfect evening - thank you!More

Had a lovely meal at this fullers pub. We tried the cottage pie and the salmon which were fresh and cooked perfectly and well present for a busy pub. Extremely charming and friendly service under currant circumstances which could be for given for negative environment....The pub is very different to our local fullers which is great as it’s more contemporary and a view of the river and the town centre does add that wow factor. Very impressed and will recommend anyone visiting Guildford to try this pub out.More

I visit this lovely pub all the time and I have yet to find anything bad to say about it! The food is always amazing, we’re made to feel welcome every time and they make us feel very safe with all of the brilliant social...distancing measures in place. A special mention to Freddie who always gives us excellent service!More

My sister, dad and I had concluded business in town early afternoon - and I suggested the white house on the grounds they serve reasonable beer. The experience and needs of the beer drinker is rather at odds to that of the diner. The beer...drinker merely needs somebody to operate a lever, and deliver that to the punter. (Competent cellar work is assumed to deliver s product in good condition). The diner at lunch requires food in a vaguely timely fashion, and that the food live up to the menu description. Add this point I will put on a rider - if you're seeking north of £20 for a main then you're going to be judged in restaurant terms. It took an age to arrive - fail. I made a mistake and assumed they could deliver a cornish sole. I like a fish a lot. Mine was kind of dried out and lacked a lot of love. I'd you're going to have fancy fancy menu, then make sure your chefs can deliver it - or are you relying on that dark kitchen and logistics? So what have Fuller's achieved? I'll never even think of them as somewhere to eat again, as they don't meet any of the usual metrics for competency and price/ quality or delivery in a timely fashion. But then I probably knew that, and time was pressing. The white house may have been for all I know in the equivalent of special measures, but if you run a chain, then you are judged on your weakest link. Just because I like hop head, it's not a reason to pick somewhere to eat.More

I have visited this pub many times before for food and recommended it to friends. Today I had booked a table for 3. Online it said you could only book for 1.5 hours but if you wanted to stay longer just let them know. We...did just that and were told we might be able to stay longer but it would depend on other bookings. We were made to feel that this was a difficult request. After our food we were told we had to leave. There were 4 other completely empty tables nearby? No-one arrived to sit at our table or any others. A very intimidating man with a long beard came over to our table again and asked us to leave. We left a half empty pub. We went to a pub across the road where we had a view of the door and no one arrived for over an hour. How strange? Until today I had every sympathy for the hospitality industry but if they continue to treat their customers like this then I’m afraid they won’t have a business for much longer. Even if there were bookings wouldn’t it make sense to wait until they actually turn up? There is always a % of no-shows. It’s so important to make customers feel welcome at this time. Such a shame. I certainly won’t be going back.More

Came on chance as looked a nice pub by the river and asked for a table outside. Welcome and logging of details was fine and well run. The only table [?] available was on the small roof terrace which was fine even though there were...plenty of tables outside at GF level. Only comment on the terrace seating was that no one seemed to bother about the Covid one way system [and signs] that were in place including the staff !. Always good to lead by example in my book. Pub was nice and bar service was quick drinks were fine also. We decided to have food [fish and chips and salmon] but that was a real let down. Just very ordinary pub food. Not cheap and definitely poorest meal we had over the whole weekend. Went for a stroll after and found a small pub a few mins away called the Britannia and that was great [as was the food the next day]More

No, but there are several car parks in Guildford within a short walk. It's worth making the effort.
