On a warm day we sat in the garden and our overall experience was good. My lunch was well presented and tasty. However my wife's chips were lukewarm and we had to wait 5 minutes for one of our group's main courses. The staff were young and pleasant but not yet totally on the ball, failing to clear an ashtray... More

We visited here for a Saturday lunch, good food, good service, excellent pizza, how it should be! Prices quite high but as the food was so good we did not mind.

This is a very atmospheric pub with old oak beams etc. We were with a largish party and the food was well presented of acceptable quality arriving on time, the waiting staff were helpful and kind. So what is the gripe? Well the menu is a little pretentious, perhaps in an attempt to justify the rather high prices for this... More

Booked a early evening meal on a Friday. Very good table service and quickly asked for our drink choices, which was served quickly, choose two steaks one ribeye and one fillet. They where both of a very standard and would have no hesitation in ordering again. Ordered one pudding and a liquor coffee which again was very good. Good table... More

went with a party of 10 to this very old pub with atmosphere and wood beams ,with the starters it was quality food but not quantity and pricey. our waitress was attentive and helpful .everyone enjoyed their main meals and desserts but they were expensive. with a 10% service charge on top of the bill turned it into a very... We hadn't been to this pub before and were disappointed to find that there were no spaces available in the small parking area at the front. So we parked on the green and walked, not far but further than necessary because there is a much larger (un-signposted) parking area at the rear of the pub! Much has been said about... More

An excellent pub with a first-rate restaurant. We were greeted upon arrival and seated at a nice table - plenty of space and a high ceiling so able to talk and be heard, even though the dining room was full. The menu has plenty of choices to suit all needs including lower cost otems such as pizzas and pasta. The... More

I attended the White Hart yesterday, Sunday, with friends who live in the village. What a lovely establishment. The staff were friendly and no problem with service. The venue is roomy, so we were not sitting on top of one another. The Roast Beef dinner was lovely and price comparative with other venues. We were asked how we'd like our... More

Whilst the food was very nice and the staff friendly, we had a meal outside and when our mains were served asked if we required anything too which I said I would like a drink. Then informed that I had to go and queue at the bar if I wanted that, which obviously would make my food cold. Prices are... More
