Really lovely pub with great food, friendly staff with a relaxed ambience. Definitely worth a revisit especially for the fish and chips and pie! Oh the choices!

Pit stop and subsequently dinner stop after an late afternoon MTB ride. Excellent service from lady behind the bar, with a very tasty burger and cheesy bun and pork belly. Ale did not taste fresh or have a head on it however draught Stowford Press cider was crisp.

All our friends, down from Yorkshire, agreed our local had the nicest atmosphere and the most welcoming staff of the 4... More

We stopped here on the way to gatwick airport. The place is lovely, plenty of room for the kids to run around in the garden! The owners are very friendly and brought our lunch out to is, which was really, really nice! Wish this was my local!!

After a long and hot dog walk we all sat with our tired feet in the babbling brook outside the lovely Volunteer pub. Highly recommended it.
