OK it's not cheap but "wow" it is so special! I have had the pleasure of eating in some of London's finest restaurants and Sorrel is as good as any of them and better than most. Excellent customer service, a beautiful environment, and an outstanding...gastronomic experience. Definitely a must!!More

An absolutely delightful place. Amazing food and and service to match. Wish it was a fraction of the price but it’s absolutely worth it. I am just a bit tight :-) The wine pairing was very interesting and unusual (but great). Petit Fours - passion...fruit chocolate and mince pie were our favorites. Thanks for a great experience, hope to see you again. 👍🏼More

Visited on 4th December for lunch. Covid measures were very good, we felt safe without too much formality. Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgable as regards the dishes and the wine list. The food was excellent as usual with some nice surprises on the Discovery...menu. All in all a very pleasant experience, thanks to all the waiting staff and the talented team in the kitchen.More

Dinner for a very special occasion: The tasting menu was tweaked very well to accommodate dietary requirements, which was much appreciated. Lots of little extras made us feel really special, many thanks. The food was exceptional, every course perfectly cooked and presented, and the wine...pairings very skilful. Hard to pick a favourite as all of the courses were divine. Special mention for broccoli "leather" though! Will be back!More

The tasting menu was exquisite and delicious, the staff were attentive but not overwhelming. Very informative and their knowledge of food and wine detailed but not patronising. Atmosphere was friendly, luxurious and safe (considering the COVID restrictions- only draw back was the mask tends to...muffle the conversation and therefore details of the meal. We would have loved to indulge in the wine tasting as well but the cost was prohibited for two, the wines on offer were extensive but the mark up disappointing. Lovely touch leaving a note from our daughter who rang in from Australia to treat us. Thank you!More

Being lucky enough to have dined at Sorrel a couple of months ago, our expectations were extremely high. I’m pleased to say, not only were our expectations met, they were exceeded. It was even better, second time round. Every course of the tasting menu was...delicious, expertly crafted, and beautifully presented. We didn’t opt for the wine pairing, instead sharing a bottle of Sancerre for the entire meal, supplemented by a glass of the paired wine for the pheasant and dessert. Like the dishes, the wine was superb. Decor and ambience are elegant and relaxing. Service was excellent.More

Liz’s birthday deserved something special and we got it at Sorrel. From the warm welcome and professional service to the exciting flavours of the food everything was as you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. We went for the tasting discovery menu at lunchtime...and spent a comfortable 3 hours at our corner booth. All the many courses were delicious and highlights for me were the chicken liver meringue, the green broccoli dish - so much depth of flavour and the partridge dish with its rich wine and chocolate sauce. The white burgundy we drank was really enjoyed by us all. Will be nice when Covid is over as a bit strange to be served throughout by masked mysterious servers.More

Dining at Sorrel is something very special indeed. This really is fine dining at its absolute best. From making the reservation to saying goodbye at the end of our evening, as a diner you are made to feel very special indeed by staff who are...knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, as well as by a kitchen of chefs who are clearly passionate about their craft, under the culinary creative genius that is Steve Drake. The 7-course taster menu was inventive, playful and delicious, delighting with every mouthful. Each course was described in detail by waiting staff who were polite, respectful and clearly take a great amount of pride in their work. The sommelier Alex paired each course with some fantastic wines which we never would have chosen – a light, zesty Greek white to accompany the brill course to name but one. Our waiter Harry was a delight; his repartee was witty yet respectful and striking up conversations with the staff between courses enhanced the experience all the more for us. At the time of booking – with the super-efficient and lovely Jennifer - I had mentioned that my husband and I were coming for our wedding anniversary. Steve Drake and the team had signed a menu card congratulating us, which was on our table when we arrived. Small touches that really elevate the overall experience. It was very special from start to finish, alas with it ending all too soon with the 10pm curfew and we would not hesitate to return.More
