Booked on the off chance and we are so glad we did. The food was stinn8ng and the service friendly and efficient. My grilled lemon sole was delicious as was my cheesecake and hubby had sausage and mash (which was superb) and the Earl Grey pannacotta (simply divine). On the whole thoroughly recommend eating there but book early as it... More

We had had a day in the local area on a photographic trip, ended up at the Quay side in Woodbridge for photos of the river and boats. A slight change in the weather meant we had to find some quick. There was a larger modern restaurant across the road, but this little pub on the corner seemed to be... More

Excellent range of food and very friendly atmosphere, regular drinking hole with great entertainment including an open mic on Sundays, it is conveniently close to railway car parking and also the cinema for pre-show meals/drinks

Stopped off here after a day out with family, looking for a light lunch. Arrived after 14:30 when food stops being ordered, despite this staff more than happy to allow us to order food. We oedered a small number of sandwiches and starters, food absolutely delicious, good portion sizes too. Perfect accompaniment on a hot summers day, washed down with... More

If you want a good meal for a good price, varied menu and a quirky seating area, this is for you. Service was good and will certainly be going back.

Ate here after seeing a film at the cinema opposite, food was good but service was extremely slow. Waited a very long time for a menu for dessert so must have forgotten that we had asked for it so by the time it finally came decided not to bother......food didn't make up for poor service..........

We ate here in 2014 and loved the atmosphere and food. So, of course coming back to Woodbridge for 3 nights we had to come back and eat and we were not disappointed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Called in with friends for lunch with no expectations and was treated to possibly the best roast beef and horseradish sandwich I have had the pleasure of eating and washed down with a cracking pint of st Edmund.

We had just left Latitude festival and decided to get some lunch on the way home.. Proper knife and fork kinda stuff. Looked at the map for potential watering holes and the trip advisor and previous reviews landed us at The Anchor.. Three sausage and mash and one roast beef dinner later. We left very impressed.. Polite efficient service. Cracking... More
