Not served, despite asking at reception, moving to the Brasserie and left without any attempt by the hotel to put thinks right.

The AA Rosette bearing Silks Brasserie, situated in the Swynford Hotel of Six Mile Bottom, brings colonial style to Newmarket. This wonderful conservatory dining room is, naturally, flooded with light even on the dimmest day, making it a perfect choice for summer lunching. Dcor, as far as dcor can go in a room made almost entirely of glass, is unobtrusive and pleasant, wicker furnishings and green plants creating that aforementioned colonial air. The relaxed dining style of Silks Brasserie makes it ideal for family affairs or indeed for romantic dinners when the sun sinks below the horizon. Modern European with strong French and Italian influences, the Silks Brasserie menus are a seasonal treat for the senses, focusing not only on flavour but on presentation too. A number of dining options are available here, allowing you to choose from casual to gourmet, offering something for everybody. After dining we recommend a drink in the rather atmospheric Brigadiers Bar while during the summer al fresco dining is a must.
