I visited here with my mum for her birthday in September. I had the afternoon tea for one which I shared. There were options for the scones or cakes, because we were sharing - which i thought was a nice touch. The staff are friendly here, we visited when they had two large groups of people so it was quite... More

As we weren't eating (we ordered a cream coffee and a juice) we were rudely asked to move to a smaller table. Felt very uncomfortable and won't be returning. Lavenham is a beautiful town and we were so very looking forward to trying here after being recommended it by the tourist information centre. Such a shame

My review of this place appears to have vanished, so I'll just write another as it's a great place. It's just like stepping back into time, when afternoon tea WAS afternoon tea. We had super, well-filled sandwiches and scrummy cakes, all served on delightful mis-matched china. Loved it.

Took some relatives from the USA to Lavenham. We all had the best traditional afternoon tea. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were delicious. The staff were lovely. If visiting Lavenham, this tea shop is a must.

Scrumptious home made scones and cakes. Just wonderful. The lady owner was so nice. She does the baking and is good at it to say the least. A real, typical Engilsh tea room, in an oldy worldy house. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

You dont often get a 5 star tea room but this is one! In a gorgeous literally crooked Tudor building, it's a cute, artfully cluttered space with about 5 tables laid with fine china. There is an old fireplace, beamed walls and some gifts on sale. The food is fabulous, freshly baked or prepared with local ingredients. The sandwiches are... More

An amazing building which appears to be falling over both forwards and sideways and has been turned into a tea room. Because of the nature of the building there is very little room inside but several large cabinets have been put in which take up a lot of space and leaves a very crowded feel to this remarkable bit of... We arrived for a one night stay and decided to have a little afternoon tea here. Tea was delicious and plentiful and our scrambled egg breakfast was lovely. Cakes were all scrumptious looking and lemon drizzle cake was divine. Would go there again for sure. Great start to our break.
