We arrived for a one night stay and decided to have a little afternoon tea here. Tea was delicious and plentiful and our scrambled egg breakfast was lovely. Cakes were all scrumptious looking and lemon drizzle cake was divine. Would go there again for sure. Great start to our break.

Enjoyed the most amazing sandwiches today and will definitely be back for cake! Lovely friendly service in a quaint setting and worth every penny.

The huge, light as a feather scones were delicious ( warm from the oven, with butter, thick cream and jam ) The tea was plentiful and good ( and top marks for the tea cosy), We would have liked a jug of hot water as well but I have no doubt if we'd asked it would have been provided.. This... More

If you are lucky enough to be visiting Lavenham, please don't miss this quintessentially English gem. Set an ancient mediaeval house, which is wonderfully crooked as it climbs up its floors, the tea house is on the ground floor. The interior is both charming, spotlessly clean, and extremely welcoming. There is an outside table with two chairs for smokers. A... More

I can strongly recommend this lovely English Tea Room & Restaurant located in the picturesque heart of Suffolk. I was the first customer of the day and it wasn't long before I was tucking into traditional English breakfast with all the trimmings. The service was friendly and efficient and as more customers arrived, the place started to get a real... More

We visited this supposed tea room/restaurant today and I have to say from start to finish this was probably one of the worst culinary experiences of my life. Firstly we were told that none of the "specials" on the board were available (at 12.30), whilst the waitress stood bizarrely in front of the board. We were then told there was... More

Dear Anton D, I felt obliged to reply to this review, so as we could give our side of the story. For a start it was untrue all the specials weren't available, everything on the board was available and i'm not sure how you thought otherwise, because the board was out and our waitress said just as much. Your friend... More

The four of us had tea and scones in this 15th century building. The savoury and fruit scones we all shared were delicious. Menu's were in short supply as tourists take them for souvenirs. The front room is such a quaint little room. Go have a look upstairs whilst you are there in terms of being crooked.

This funny little house is as darling insdie ans it is outside! My friends and I had cream teas and cakes, the former of which were still steaming from the oven, the latter of which was home-made and delectable! Everything arrived on mismatched antique china, dusted with powdered sugar and enormous strawberries and was enjoyed beyond measure!
