I'd heard wonderful things about this restaurant and finally got to visit for my sister's birthday, The staff were all absolutely charming and I loved the cosy interior and decor. As for the food, you could tell that the chef cooks with complete love and passion. I haven't had food this good in England for a long time. The menu... More

I visited here with a very special lady in my life as she had always wanted to visit. The food is not cheap but was exceptional so I would have to say it represented excellent value for money. I had the octopus starter which was simply fantastic and the steak was equally impressive. My girlfriend had the Pate and the... More

We had a birthday celebration meal for two. We were offered canapes on the house, there was a great choice, including specials. The food prices were around what you would expect to pay at any decent restaurant. However the drinks were really expensive. £4.95 for a 330ml bottle of lager and just shy of £30 for a bottle of the... More

Hi . thanks for choosing to dine with us recently and I'm glad to read that you enjoyed the food. However,if you fancy yourself as a restaurant reviewer, surely getting facts straight is something you should practice. £17.95 is what we charge for our entry wines ( is that what you call just shy of £30)? We don't sell prosecco... More

Our little supper club decided on this venue and what an absolute treat it was . Superb fine dining and different dishes on the menu as well as old favourites. Staff were fabulous to and had good conversation skills which is rare to find these days . Nothing was to much trouble . If your out for some fab food... More

Attitude! What a disappointment! After we were shown to our table the waiter told us about the “specials” and the drinks on offer. Our mistake was not asking him to go over that again because his English was difficult to understand and if we’d heard that it was £60 for steak and chips we would have gone elsewhere. We were... We went there for lunch. The menu was quite promising, and the atmosphere is pleasant. What we liked about the menu is the different type of dishes, that you can't find in many other restaurants. However the food itself could have been better. Risotto and salted cod brandade were good, but too many herbs that had more flavour than the... More

Came here with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful time. Food and wine were exceptional. I had slow cooked rabbit and it was stunning. My boyfriend enjoyed his ox tail. We also ordered some braised red cabbage as a side dish and it was also divine. I enjoyed the wine and our starter - a whole baked cheese served... More

Exciting, adventurous and very tasty food. As soon as my hubby saw snails he decided this was where we would eat. We had 3 courses and all where... More

Going back to this restaurant is always a treat, its great in the winter to have the lovely fire and homely surroundings.I'll be brief, I had the terrine, really great as did Mike, Michelle from New York had the risotto, one of the best she has ever had, this great praise from a food critic who travels widely, Mike &... Had a lovely meal here, good food though in my view overpriced. Staff very welcoming. Recommend the crab risotto to start and veal loin for main. Desserts were a bit disappointing. If you are arriving later into service be prepared for a number of items to be off the menu or with limited availability. In total around 6 dishes from... More
