Be prepared to queue however you will understand why. The huge turnover (never stops) means the meals are always fresh. Superb and even better sat on the beach with friends. My only negative, no curry sauce (yes I know but I am from the north, what do you expect).

We visited on a Saturday night about 6:30 and yes there was a queue outside. We decided to join following the good reviews on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The queue moved slowly but steadily. The food, cod, chicken and sausage and chips were delicious, especially when eaten on the beach on a lovely sunny night. Would recommend!

Been here a few times before, the queues could be off putting but the food is well worth the wait. White fish with thin easy to digest batter and nice chips.

We stayed a few doors along from the chip shop, so had to give it a go. Had heard good things from other visitors, and were not disappointed. Someone said 'the best F & C in the world' - probably hard to dispute - they were pretty special.

Fantastic fish and chips. Be prepared to queue but it is well worth it. Taste even better sitting on the beach.

We've visited here many times and the fish and chips are always truly delicious, as evidenced by the fact there is often a queue outside! Lovely to eat them by the seafront just across the road.

Queued here as normal for about 10 mins. Had large cod and chips X 2, batter is always nice n crispy like northern fish batter not soggy, even had scraps not healthy I know but soo good as a treat. Chips was ok but did have the odd bad chip that's why not giving 5 stars. Will go back whilst... More

WOW. Yes you definitely know your onions...... Absolutely lovely. The Haddock was the sweetest I've ever tasted and the batter was so light it didn't detract from the flavour. Perfect fish and chips.

We got fish and chips here for lunch. Fish was lovely, I had the cod which was a bit greasy but lovely big flakes of cod! My partner had the plaice (this was definitely the best choice). We went and ate this by the sea and really enjoyed!

We visited after hearing wonderful reports.Firstly,a young couple were turned away because they had a child under 3 years old.We found this rather embarrassing .The parents said they had been discriminated . Moving on,service as good, very friendly girl. Fish and chips, nothing special, had better in Yorkshire in Malton and in Whitby.Chips were pale and lots of little bits.Fish, just the same as... More
