This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and we were lucky enough to get a table without booking on a Saturday night. Lovely friendly staff. Great menu. I had the mussels to start followed by the Hake, which was a special, followed by the date and banana pudding, all really delicious. My husband had the scallops to start... More

The food and the staff were excellent starters were generous and tasty 😋. Main courses of boeuf bourguignon and the pulled lamb were truly delicious.. Would recommend to anyone looking to book a special meal.

On our first day of a week's stay in Aldeburgh, we chose Brasserie Bleue for Sunday lunch, on the basis of consistently good reviews and views to the beach from the dining room. The set menu has plenty of choice, from which I had the traditional beef, Yorkshires and vegetables, while my wife chose goats cheese, mushroom gnocchi and rocket;... More

This restaurant is part of the White Lion Hotel. It is popular (booking is advisable). The food is good and reasonably priced. The service is a bit on the slow side, but as we weren't in a hurry, that didn't matter.

Friendly staff, attractive surroundings, good service and lovely food (particularly the dressed crab!) at a reasonable price. In fact we enjoyed it so much, we returned a couple of evenings later and found it just as good.

We had the French afternoon tea, my coffee was initially weak but the lovely lady serving (Caroline?) changed it for me with no problem. The tea was amazing and very beautiful. Croque monsieur (without ham for me), salmon canapés, tiny vol au vents then an abundance of exquisite French Patisserie items (I had to take most home as far too... More

Although overall we had a very enjoyable meal in what is a very attractive restaurant, there were a couple of small things. The prix fixe menu was not offered until we were told we could choose dessert from it; possibly just an oversight but I didn't see any other diners afterwards being offered the prix fixe either. I asked what... More

Always enjoy a lovely meal accompanied by a few cocktails at The White Lions restaurant. After several meals here I would highly recommend it! Definitely come early for a few cocktails to start :)

Dear Simon, I was pleased hear that you managed to indulge in a few cocktails on your last visit. I am not sure if you are aware but we are doing a 2 for 1 cocktail night every Friday evening throughout the Summer months, so if you are free why not join us!!!! Hopefully after a few drinks you may... More

A great menu, in a great location that serves food. As a regular visitor to Aldeburgh this is currently our favourite restaurant.
