This is a cosy venue with a very helpful and friendly landlord. The staff are on the ball and the atmosphere is relaxing. Always nice music playing in the background. The food is home cooked and always delicious and filling!

My girlfriend wore the tightest jeans on our visit to the Britannia Inn, but it's the Chicken curry I had there that left my mouth watering. Our relationship has since dissolved, but I'm sure it had nothing to do with the proposal I made to the chef seconds after receiving our meal. (I think it was the landlord's wife that... More

We had an anniversary party here at the Brit inn and Rob and Karen were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We ordered a buffet with some gluten free options and they went to so much trouble with most of it being made in the pub. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Couldn't fault any of it.... More

My family booked the skittle alley for my surprise 50th birthday party. Rob and Karen we absolutely brilliant and we were able to decorate the room and create a 50's Diner. The food which they prepared was FANTASTIC! and they met the brief...and more. We had locally sourced beef burgers and sausages in buns, fries, onion rings, chilli, salad, coleslaw... More

My wife and I recently moved house to this area, and we went to the Britannia Inn on the day we moved in for supper. Quite frankly, we were too tired to do anything else but go to the nearest pub for some food and a sit down. At the Britannia Inn we just wanted some simple food, well cooked,... More

Stopped off for lunch on route to Cheddar gorge. Had summer special sausage and mash with onions, great value and very tasty. Friendly staff, even though they were busy with a large RAF party for lunch. Manager took the time to chat with us, made us very welcome. Would recommend.

Been here a few times recently and it's a smashing little pub with a very friendly landlord. Food portions are rather small but all home made and flavoursome. Nice to find a pub with local character.

We were taken there by some friends for a Sunday lunch while we were on a weekend visit. As we were going mainly for lunch we went straight though to the restaurant area though the cosy "proper pub" bar area. First impressions were that it looked like some sort of 1950s street party in a church hall but as soon... More

There are not many pubs left that have great beer, good food and a warm friendly atmosphere, don't miss this one! Had a fantastic Lamb Hot Pot last night and it didn't break the bank. Highly recommended.
