Quick and friendly service – nice area to sit out the front. Had a cream tea which was tasty and filling.

Captivated by its own cliche, the establishment needs to improve on its kitchen to customer communication. If something is unavailable, courtesy is to convey during ordering not when you are dishing it out to the other punters. On our list of meh establishments.

Did you read the phrase ''captivated by its own cliche'' in a book and think you must use it sometime? Because it doesn't really work here. This place is on the main street by the Gorge, overlooking the river. Has a good menu for snacks and cream teas and pricing was good.

This was a random choice for breakfast and from the outside looked empty, we had our Beagle with us and the sun was out so decided to sit outside. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent and what was nice was extra portions being subbed in if you didn't want the default, all without asking. Three... More

We were camping and I needed a little time out. I stumbled across this beautiful cafe. Staff were friendly. The brownie was beautiful and the coffee was just right.

We stopped here for an afternoon tea. Very friendly and efficient service. Nice ambience and good value. Plenty of choice and excellent quality. At one end of the Cheddar gorge road and very worthwhile taking a break here.

A darling little eatery! The food was fabulous and the staff great too. Shame it is not open in the evenings, as the menu would cover that time too.

Food was excellent and good sized portions. Friendly and prompt service. Was busy and they tried to accommodate everyone. Worth placing a reservation over lunchtime to ensure you can get in.

Pleasantly surprised by this little gem.Friendly polite staff with a swift service. We were allowed to share an afternoon tea for one ,plenty to go round I have found this is frowned upon in other establishments.Good selection of cakes and teas.Loved the small milk bottles brought back memories! We will definitely be back
