Living nearby, I've always meant to try this place, never have until now, and have to say all the reviews are spot on. Lovely welcome from the waitress, nice selection of daily eats and regulars. We had a breakfast and a panini, which were generous in quantity for the price and really tasty. Lovely having real tea leaves and using... More

We enjoyed a cosy afternoon tea as we baked in front of the wood burning stove, impervious to the cold wet weather outside. The cream teas are absolutely the best I have ever tasted, with so much choice! And the menu has something for everyone, with locally sourced produce and plenty of gluten-free options for those with allergies. A must-visit... More

We booked Sunday brunch for ourselves and our two teenaged boys. We all had the full English and wow! everyone left feeling replete and happy. Filling two growing 16 year-olds is no mean feat... Great food, good service, superb value and a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be going back.

Great afternoon tea and good service. Warmed up nicely in here after a cold walk around the top. Can recommend the classic afternoon tea!

Thank you for your review. We are glad that we could warm you back up after your chilly walk. We would suggest that you come for a breakfast before your next walk, we have been told they will fuel you for the whole day! (But of course leave room for a cream tea after ;) ) More

I am always on the look out for tea rooms suitable to take my elderly mum to. Our visit to Lion Rock today a great success. Huge bowl of vegetable soup served with two bread rolls - some cafes seem to ration soup and bread but not this one. I ordered chips too but didn't need too. I only rarely... More
