Popped in here for light lunch without reading the reviews. Fantastic selection of tea, lovely low music from the 50s, great food and service. Will be coming back at some point I hope.

Really great place for some lunch after visiting the cheddar gorge. The decor inside is lovely and the staff were very friendly. There is an outside area upstairs which is cute. The place is clean and the food was nice. We also had a scone with clotted cream and jam which was very good. Price wise it was around £7-£8... More

Great service, great location, fun, kitschy decor. Unfortunately, the vegetarian breakfast appears to have been an homage to the potato - fried slices, potato based sausage and a hash brown. Mushrooms were sublime. I don't think there's any need for baked beans for breakfast, but I had a willing taker. Half a tomato and two cold, fried eggs completed the... More

Dear Sezme2014 Thank you for your review and kind words on our decor too. However it's a shame the food did not live up to your expectations. There may have been some confusion where you state there is no need for Baked Beans on a breakfast as this is the item we replace the Bacon for on a Vegetarian Breakfast... More

We came in here exhausted and footsore after walking the length of the Gorge and back with much side-stepping and cave exploring (plus climbing Jacob's Ladder!). The cream tea (and coffee) were most welcome. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic! Lovely place altogether!

We booked here for afternoon tea on the way back from a family day out. It's easy to find on the main strip through the village & looks appealing inside & out. We were welcomed as we entered & shown to a table, a child-seat was already in place. The menu is quite extensive & my only criticism would be... More

Once again we had a lovely experience at the Lion Rock Tea Rooms, lovely food. The staff so friendly and polite. Excellent service by all members of staff. The whole experience is lovely, the ambience of the tea rooms is so relaxing. We had a cream tea but next time we will try the pies, they looked and smelt delicious.

Thank donjenny
