Not sure if you expect more because the restaurant has a Michelin Star but I felt somewhat let down by our meal. Food, wine and service were very good but not great

For £30 this is a most exquisite experience, and the finest dining you will find in Bath. Allow at least two hours- pre drinks, four courses- but expected to be treated to perfect service and stunning food. The setting is gorgeous. This is an absolute must if you like fine dining and are visiting Bath.

Fantastic lunch - lots of little extras, comfortable surroundings and fabulous service. Cocktails in the gardens which are beautiful. The food is beautifully presented and full of flavour. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended. Reasonably priced.

This was a special dinner for us - it was a voucher for two given to us by friends. Meet and greet was medico (Simon), we wanted to have a pre dinner drink, all he did was point us in the direction of the two rooms available - we found our own table. Drink menu and dinner menus were presented.... More

We visited for lunch and had one of the most bizarre experiences I have ever witnessed in a restaurant of quality (never mind Michelin starred!). We were settled into the comfortable lounge and ordered a half bottle of champagne. A simple enough request? Glasses duly arrived and after some delay, a cheerful girl arrived waving about a bottle of open... More

We enjoyed every one of the dishes in the tasting menu. Rarely have we had so many excellent dishes one after another. Superb service, too, by lovely people who obviously enjoy their work.

We went to The Bath Priory for dinner for my father-in-laws birthday. We chose from the 3 course for £80ppph menu - so we were expecting something really spectacular. The canapés served to us in the lounge were delicious and the amuse bouche in the restaurant were probably the best part of the meal. I had scallops for my starter... More

We came for a prebooked afternoon tea. We were met in the car park by a very helpful, friendly attendant/valet who advised on a parking space and welcomed us. Inside the Maitre D' was also very welcoming but from the point at which we were shown to our table the service was awful. It was lots of little details...I know... More

Reserved a table here before a recent trip to Bath. Lovely welcome, it is a very beautiful and stately building. Cocktails in the lounge whilst be perused the menus with canapés. We decided on the tasting menu. Shown to our table in the elegant restaurant with lovely views of the gardens. Service was excellent throughout and the food was excellent... More

I visited the Bath Priory for diner and was very impressed by the tasting menu. Every single course was delicious and tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive, the wine was nice and not too expensive. I enjoyed it very much and would describe the atmosphere as more traditional than modern.

The Bath Priory restaurant in Bath has held a Michelin star since October 2012. Found within the Bath Priory Hotel, a Georgian mansion of honey-coloured stone, it’s a great place when you want sophisticated food in an elegant setting. Executive Chef Sam Moody, creates stellar dishes with a strong emphasis on kitchen garden ingredients with an inventive use of traditional herbs and flowers. Where possible, all meat is locally sourced and the menu sticks closely to what’s in season. "
