We came for a prebooked afternoon tea. We were met in the car park by a very helpful, friendly attendant/valet who advised on a parking space and welcomed us. Inside the Maitre D' was also very welcoming but from the point at which we were shown to our table the service was awful. It was lots of little details...I know... More

Reserved a table here before a recent trip to Bath. Lovely welcome, it is a very beautiful and stately building. Cocktails in the lounge whilst be perused the menus with canapés. We decided on the tasting menu. Shown to our table in the elegant restaurant with lovely views of the gardens. Service was excellent throughout and the food was excellent... More

I visited the Bath Priory for diner and was very impressed by the tasting menu. Every single course was delicious and tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive, the wine was nice and not too expensive. I enjoyed it very much and would describe the atmosphere as more traditional than modern.

We went for afternoon tea because we saw it had a Michelin star and it would be interesting as we are chefs, however we were very disappointed ! Food arrived and it lacked imagination and presentation wasn't great . The bread didn't taste homemade or fresh and looked as if it had been cut with a spoon. The scones were... More

Wonderful - delightful tea (more than we could eat), great service, fantastic setting and the weather was very kind to us - everything for a great English tea!! NB if you visit and the tea proves to much don't hesitate to ask the staff to put any excess in a box to take away!

We have been here many years ago when it was under Chris Horridge's helm, food and service was fantastic but after one incident, we did not return for a long time, well basically the period when the Priory loses its star. On that occasion after a fantastic meal, we asked for our bill and waited 40 minutes for it. They... More

I was on holiday and went with a friend to Bath and had dinner at this place. The hotel is incredibly charming and beautiful and the dining room is enchanting as well. Our reservation ran 15 minutes late and we had to ask for the table a few times before being moved from the lounge area. They took us to... More

The restaurant at the Bath Priory is lovely. The tasting menu was excellent & the wine flight equally good.

Description
The Bath Priory restaurant in Bath has held a Michelin star since October 2012. Found within the Bath Priory Hotel, a Georgian mansion of honey-coloured stone, it’s a great place when you want sophisticated food in an elegant setting. Executive Chef Sam Moody, creates stellar dishes with a strong emphasis on kitchen garden ingredients with an inventive use of traditional herbs and flowers. Where possible, all meat is locally sourced and the menu sticks closely to what’s in season. "
