Excellent pub. Great food, I had the beef burger from the bar menu. Large selection of beers and wine. Great atmosphere and was a nice cool breeze even on a very hot day. Friendly service. I would definitely go back

We ate from the bar menu which was very reasonably priced. We had fish and chips and beef ribs - both were delicious, well balanced and the service was fast and friendly. Couldn't fault it for a good pub meal.

A group of four of us visited last evening prior to a theatre show. We were given a rather small menu from which three of us ordered linguine at £15.95 each. When it arrived, we thought we had been given a starter as the portion was minuscule. We complained, and to be fair they did take it away & make... More

We were recommended to go here by a local for lunch. We were very dissapointed. Service slow, drinks tasted as thought they had been watered down and our sandwich lunch was inedible! Dry bread that tasted old. We were given money off the bill with no problem but unfortunately wouldn't return.

My wife and I enjoyed a Sunday dinner at the Garrick. The food could not have been better in terms of taste and presentation. We both had traditional roast beef and it was beautifully cooked with a rich, tasty sauce. All the trimmings were perfect: crispy roast potatoes and firm, flavoursome vegetables. There was a good choice of beers and... More

We visited today for lunch. The food was excellent. Good range, just enough. Good quality and portion sizes. Very British menu. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very accommodating. Children are very welcome. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Bath, lovely to sit outside and enjoy a local ale, great food and the Bath ambience.

We ate at The Garricks Head Pub for lunch as soon as we got to Bath. We had been up for over 24 hours so were pretty much zombies but this place helped us get our energy back. We had fish and chips with cider. We loved it all. The fish was cooked perfectly and exactly what you would want... More

Nice pub with good atmosphere. Wide selection of beer and wine. Restaurant looked great too. Close to the theatre and cheaper than the bar inside that. Thoroughly recommended.

Asked at the posh hotel we were staying in for a wedding for a good old pub and this is what they came up with. Lovely place full of 30 to 50 somethings. The fish and Chips were good as was the local ale. Good friendly service.

Although this was a long time ago, some friends and I came for dinner way back in January. We all had the pre theatre menu which is a great price for what was on offer! I had the scallop starter, the pork belly main and the raspberry delice for my feast, all of which was beautifully presented, speedily served and... More

Description
Situated next to the Theatre Royal in the centre of Bath, the Garrick's Head Pub and and Dining Room offers a delicious selection of locally inspired dishes. Using seasonal ingredients and making everything fresh on site the kitchen serves traditional pub dishes such as fresh cod in beer batter with triple cooked chips and "the best burger in Bath" to more complex creations, Venison steak with a mini cottage pie of venison or poached Guinea fowl with wild garlic both popular at the moment. The Garrick's Head is ideally situated for pre Theatre dining as it is directly next door to the theatre so you are only minutes from your seat. Often described as a country pub in the city centre the Garrick's Head has roaring fires, four real ales and over 50 whiskeys, very much a pub with a dining room there are also over 50 seats outside on the terrace, perfect for watching Baths beautiful people come and go.
