We had a great lunch here at the Tagine Zhor (previously Cafe du Globe) - harira soup for Jenny with warm Arab flatbread, and a plate of mezze for me. I was surprised by the mezze - expected to see lots of small separate dishes and instead all of them were served on one plate, but still just as good... More

I've eaten several times at Tagine Zhor with different groups of friends recently. Not knowing much about Moroccan food we asked for recommendations from the owner. The quantity was just right, and each time I have been wowed by the delicious flavours and variety of the meals. The restaurant is wonderfully atmospheric too. Highly recommended and I will be back!

The food here is fantastic, packed full of flavour and beautifully cooked. The service was amazing, a really lovely owner and waiter that made the experience special. A truly delicious meal in a relaxed setting with a buzzing friendly atmosphere. We will certainly be back!

Had a rather bland, uninspired dinner here whilst visiting the Christmas market. I was expecting much more distinctive flavours and depth of flavour from tagine dishes we chose. Service wasn't particularly good either.

We have arrived to Bath on a rainy Friday evening and headed straight to Tagine Zhor since we have heard good things about it. The website said that they don't take bookings on Fridays but, to our surprise, they have said that they are fully booked for the evening. However, when we have explained the situation to them, they have... More

Came here with my wife while visiting earlier this week, the restaurant is decorated with a really authentic feel, great selection of food, we decided to have a selection of dishes from the mezze list and everyone was fantastic! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Bath

Description
Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"
