We had a holiday in Morocco some years ago, so when we spotted this restaurant tucked away in a small square, it was a must. The restaurant was a small and intimate space with a pleasant atmosphere, even a we went in. The menu contained some familiar dishes, so that first decision was well taken. We of course ordered tagines,... More

The owner, Mustpha, has been here for 17 years and it's easy to see why. The food is wonderful and he is a gracious and fun host. So glad we went here on our last night in Bath.

Tagine Zhor is a comfortable little restaurant on a small pedestrian lane. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the service is impeccable. Cozy, romantic ambiance. They offer a variety of Moroccan dishes, all very well prepared. I had the beef and chicken kabobs and my wife had a seafood dish. We were both pleased with out meals. There is... More

My first visit to this restaurant. I went with two friends and it was packed to the rafters and seemed very cramped for space although the lighting and decor was quite attractive. We all ordered tagine .. mine was a vegetable tagine which when it arrived was a bit underwhelming. Just a bland vegetable stew which I thought expensive for... More

Beautiful food in a vibrant, family run restaurant. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, as were the staff. The food was a taste sensation and an enjoyably leisurely dining experience. And a shisha pipe to finish the evening.

A bit skeptical of finding excellent North African cuisine in Bath, I took a chance and ate at Tagine Zhor. The food was incredible! I started with harira, had the beef tagine with apricots and almonds for my main course, and ended the evening with a dessert sampler paired with mint tea. The staff are exceptionally knowledgable and happy to... More

Beautiful food and atmosphere, wow! The tagine with chicken and lemon was out of this world. Stunning flavours. The beef tagine was also wonderful, very aromatic. Cute cozy eatery, excellent waiter service. Left feeling full and will return one day again.

Quite small, quaint. Friendly staff. Lovely food, full of flavour. Makes a change from all the usual eating places.

This restaurant is a real 'find' and has consistently been in my top 3 for Bath for several years. The Tagine's are truly excellent. Deliciously flavoured tender meat and equally flavourful vegetable dishes. All served piping hot with wonderful little side dishes of extra sauce, sultana's and harissa paste. I've dined here with friends too, who've eaten other dishes such... More

Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"
