I have been visiting this café for years now. Always receive excellent service from friendly, happy people :). The food is always really delicious, I normally order a panini or a jacket potato. I'm always happy with how much tasty salad and coleslaw is served with the dishes and the portions are great, they definitely fill me up! I will... More

What a find this little cafe was...completely unpretentious with really friendly staff and the most glorious sandwich ever. We enjoyed the house special...The Skyscraper-so much that we went back the next day to have another one. And we were only in Bath for 48 hours!!! Fabulous! Still dreaming about it!

My hubby and I shot in here in to escape the cold and heavy downpour after a depressing meeting! We were hungry and pushed for time to be back for school run. What can I say this was wonderful really cheered us both up. Friendly attentive staff, not too busy but few other diners. I ordered Hamm egg chips and... More

During a recent visit home to Bath and the surrounding areas, from Texas; this was our first stop for a full English breakfast. It certainly did not disappoint and was absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend Café Retro - the staff are friendly and service is fantastic. Can't wait to pass by again when we're next in town :-)

Had breakfast here after arriving in bath and it was perfect. I have the little breakfast but then adding black pudding and avocado. Sausage was my least favourite bit but was ok... everything else was yummy and set us up for the day. Nicely cooked and not greasy but e.g. Black pudding was fried (baked black pudding is no where... Went for breakfast on our last morning. I ordered the big breakfast and my girlfriend had the veggie breakfast. Unfortunately I got a retro breakfast which was a shame because I love black pudding. Also the veggie breakfast had sausages made of grated potato which my girlfriend doesn't eat. However the rest of the food an the coffee was ace... More

A place for a decent all day breakfast. It will definitely fill you, but as seems to be the norm in the UK, a lot of things on one's plate seem to be processed, heated and then served. It fills you, usually tastes ok, although a bit oily, but it does the trick, but also not more than that. Recommend... More

Bath can be a difficult place to find for a break from a hard day's shopping, as many cafes are too busy. Cafe Retro has the feel of a place where there is a bit of space to enjoy your rest. You are welcomed in by staff. The menu is good, although we only tend to take a drink and... More

Stumbled on the cafe along the road where the coach let us off. Greeted by warm and friendly staff. Ordered Thai Green Curry and Fish & Fries. Food was great with generous portions at reasonable price. The cod fillet was fresh and crispy. Green curry was served with basmati rice. Although the curry was a little oily, it was perfect... Was greeted at the door by a lovely smiley face. Waited 5 mins to be seated. About 2pm. Had veggie breakfast. Was hot and clean and quite big portions and came with a tea. Really lovely service in a relaxed atmosphere. Only thing I would say is the table was a bit sticky and and teapots a bit like the... More
