Only a modest frontage this delightful cafe offers a melange of fine patisserie. We had the american cheesecake and citrus polenta (gf) cakes with coffees. Excellent, even though they forgot our order we couldnt penalise then for the magnificence of their produce

Often eat here when I come to Bath. It does amazing made to order sandwiches, great cakes and awesome coffee. I like the crayfish tail with rocket or the crab sandwiches. Very fresh bread and beautifully served. Love the relaxed atmosphere here and the shop next door.

I was first recommended this cafe a couple of years ago, since then I only ever eat there when I'm in Bath. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the food is wonderful. I've been there 3 times in 10 days and eaten the same cranberry and chicken sandwich, it's that good! The hot drink and cakes are a wonderful... More

My friends and I lunch here occasionally and it never disappoints. The food is fresh, well presented, the waiter is knowledgeable and professional and all together it's a very pleasant place to have lunch.

We made a beeline for this place as we order cheeses online for family but had not actually tasted them ourselves! So a lovely fresh lunch was well presented and tasty. Tasty freshly squeezed orange juice. The cheeses and unusual biscuits to purchase are really nice. Great to visit.

This was once a lovely cheese shop (and not too shabby cafe either). However recently that seems to have changed. I stopped in the Bath shop several weeks ago and waited my turn to be assisted at the cheese counter. When everyone else had been served, I was then conspicuously ignored in preference to a family that had just walked... More

Had tea and cake here with friends. The setting is very comfortable and service was excellent. The English Breakfast tea was very weak but the Earl Grey was tasty. Our friend had a crocque monsieur which he said was delicious. I ordered the gluten free fudge cake which was perfectly moist and went well with the tea. A very nice... More

A little while ago I wrote a reluctant and rather scathing review of this establishment. Disappointed by the service I decided not to return. Last week however, I went in for coffee, purely for the convenience of the location. Oh happy day!! There seems to have been an overhaul of the waiting staff, who I found to be kind, helpful... We had a lovely lunch here. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and constantly cheerful. The food is wonderful. We ordered a cheese plate (3 cheeses, most if not all of them 'award winning' when described by the staff and they were happy to exchange the cheeses for others if not to your taste. At £5-6 for a sandwich... More

A lovely spot for lunch, this place has a very French feel, both in the staff and food. Some of the food is British, some French. We had two of the specials, the salmon fish cake and mushroom and Parmesan tart, both with salad. Really tasty - we will be back to try breakfast, which we see they also serve.

Description
TWO SHOPS IN ONE We have a 'cheese shop' with a range of delicious treats, and a café with our own chefs. Our 'cheese shop' groans with artisan cheeses, and great food and wine, some of which you can't buy anywhere else. Our own chefs make everything from scratch - from flaky pastry sausage rolls to chewy pistachio macaroons. We will prepare you a cheese plate from what is in season. Why not graze as you browse?. You may shop in the 'cheese shop' for Keen's Cheddar, our own onion chutney, farmhouse butter and Hobbs House bread, or have them made for you into a sandwich, served with a cappuccino or a glass of wine. OUR STREET FOOD On nights where you simply don't have time to cook, let The Fine Cheese Co. prepare you a feast. Drop into our Walcot Street shop and pick up a delicious, homemade meal a for fuss-free dinner. Alternatively, when those hunger pangs hit at lunch time, grab something from our range to eat al-desko, or alfresco if you are lucky enough! Our chefs Laurent, Julian and Tess have created a Street Food Menu that will change twice a month. The menu includes three dishes that work together perfectly as well as on their own, and a selection of freshly baked pastries, tarts as well as our daily Spanish Tortilla.
