The food was amazing, the staff were friendly. They were a bit slow in serving and were not ready for us when we turned up, but that may be partly down to the shear size of our party (20). I was a little shocked when we asked for poppadoms. We were expecting the normal sized ones with a range of... More

Girlfiriend and I visited towards the end of August and we enjoyed excellent, friendly, unhurried service and top drawer cuisine. Went for the rabbit varuval and tandori lamb starters; both delicately spiced, the rabbit being particularly good, surrounded by lightly spiced coconut flakes. Mains were the chicken lababdar, peshwari lamb chops and sag paneer. Quality of the meat is evident,... More

We were staying at Lucknham Park and were recommended The Mint Room as we fancied a dinner and visit in Bath. When we arrived we were met by the owner and give a great booth table in the beautiful restaurant. We ate tempura prawns, Onion bahjis which were delicious and fresh. For main course we had lamb biryani which was... More

Following a recommendation from a local and their bespoke inclusion in the Michelin Guide we decided to give a go to this Indian place. The result was disappointing! The service was poor; it took 40 mins for us to get the attention of the waiters to finally order our mains, and we were made to feel like a nuisance to... More

Not one to usually write a review but felt this one needs it to get a kick up its derrière ( For lack of a better phrase) For somewhere that was meant to be a Michelin Star restaurant this was entirely un-inspiring. The Starters were ok, though one of them was wrong as there were ingredients missing which , I... More

I really, really, really, really enjoyed my meal at The Mint Room. And this is from a someone who grew up in Birmingham. We had the Tour Of India" set meal which wasn't actually on the menu but was a selection of the best dishes they have on the menu. Really well thought out, utterly tasty and quite creative. I... Bit of an odd venue... Very modern building, on a road heading out of Bath. Backs on to Sainsbury, not town centre at all. But worth a walk - takes about 10mins from the centre, or is immediately opposite the Holiday Inn Express. We went on a Sunday night and were taken aback at how busy it was - I... More

Good food, service and ambience, but didn't deliver the wow factor that the pricing promises. What they do is done well. Great service, attentive staff who clearly have a passion for the food they serve. Restaurant was busy, and they were turning tables, so popular venue. If you're in Bath worth a visit, but if you've eaten at fine dining... More
