We deliberately had the Sardinian house specialities and all three courses were marvellous. Olives and flatbreads, fish dishes to die for and a selection of local cheeses were excellent. Thankyou

We visited back in September, for my daughters birthday. It was a quite supper as we'd just had a bereavement. (Hence my late review) We were welcomed with a bottle of prosecco sent from a chef friend who recommended Aio. We chose a variety of delicious dishes including a layered goat dish, fresh and beautifully cooked fish and courgette side... More

A favourite of ours in the centre of Bath. This is just a bit different from most Italian restaurants as it features Sardinian dishes. It also has a specials board with fresh fish. They also do a lunchtime and pre-theatre special menu. The wine list is good and also has Sardinian options which are lovely. The staff are well trained... More

I suspect Aio is for the locals. We went out looking for dinner wondering around Bath. We went up George St. And the special of the day was homemade lasagna. Done. We stepped into this small restaurant that still keeps enough space between the tables. The appetizers, entrees, deserts, and wine were fantastic.

I love a place with atmosphere and this restaurant was vibrant, busy, and felt authentically Italian. The food was good although I'd like to come back and explore some of their other dishes. We went with a big party and some had ordered the Suckling Pig. When it arrived, the waiters asked if more of us could switch from our... More

Went here for the first time in December and it was absolutely memorable, really amazing food, lovely service, great atmosphere. Dreamt about it for a few weeks afterwards before going back and finding it just as fantastic as the first visit. We live in Bath and eat out pretty regularly but for some reason it has taken us a few... More

Had a excellent dinner at Aio, this was our first visit there. The staff were very genuinely helpful and knowledgable about the dishes. We both chose the specials but the normal menu was equally tempting. The food was well cooked, full of flavour and they even expertly filleted my fish at the table for me. The decor has a charming... My boyfriend and I just had pudding and drinks here on Friday night. I thought the pudding was ok. My boyfriend seemed to enjoy it more than me. It was orange polenta cake - it was good value for money just a heavy pudding. An unusual combination.

Description
Roughly translated from Sardinian, Aio' means come and join us, it's an appropriate title for one of Bath's most welcoming restaurants. Currently the only restaurant in the South West specialising in Sardinian cuisine, Aio', on George Street is close to the Assembly Rooms and The Circus, is a unique dining proposition, providing Bath's gastronomes with an opportunity to step outside of the Italian comfort zone. A modern interior inspired by the warm tones and natural materials of a traditional trattoria leads through to a suntrap courtyard just made for enjoying Aio's summery cuisine.
